Amazon Arrivals: What’s Coming To Prime Video In December 2018

Amazon Prime Video

Amazon has announced the full lineup of movies and television shows set to arrive on Prime Video in the new month.

This includes a few highlighted titles coming to the streaming service as well as a little bit about them, followed by the rest of the incoming movies and TV shows and the date they’ll be added to Prime Video. All of the Amazon Arrivals for December 2018 can be found below.

The holiday cheer comes early for Prime Video fans, as December arrives bearing a truckload of gifts. That big package contains the second season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the newly crowned Emmy winner. There is plenty more to unwrap, including an acclaimed new take on the classic Vanity Fair.

1) The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Season 2 “” December 5

The Emmy-winning Prime Original comedy series returns for its second season. Rachel Brosnahan stars as the loquacious title character, a 1950s Manhattan housewife who discovers her calling as comedian. (TV-MA)

2) Vanity Fair “” December 21

A fresh take on Thackeray’s classic novel about a poor orphan girl who climbs her way into the upper crust of Georgian-era English society. Olivia Cooke plays the ambitious Becky Sharp. Michael Palin narrates the seven-part Prime Original miniseries. (TV-14)

3) Life Itself “” December 21

This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman wrote and directed this multi-generational tale of love and loss, where a tragic event links two families on two continents. Olivia Wilde, Oscar Isaac and Mandy Patinkin star in this Prime Original movie. (R)

4) Iron Man 2

Robert Downey Jr. returns as the sharp-tongued superhero in a high-octane sequel. Iron Man, aka Tony Stark. must fight the government, health problems and Russian supervillain Whiplash (Mickey Rourke). (PG-13)

5) Hereditary

One of the best-reviewed horror films in years, Hereditary tells the story of a family plagued by a dark secret. Toni Collette earned raves for her performance as a mother trying to protect her children from their familial fate. (R)

6) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

America’s favorite pizza-snarfing reptiles take on a new, buff form in this raucous reboot. The Turtles are created through a combination of human actors and computer effects. Megan Fox and Will Arnett take the key human roles. (PG-13)

7) Before I Fall

This young-adult film takes the central idea from Groundhog Day and gives it a dramatic twist. A teen girl (Zoey Deutch) keeps repeating a day that inevitably ends in someone’s death. (PG-13)

8) Killers

Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl star in this action comedy about a couple who marry after a whirlwind romance. Of course, he’s a top-secret government assassin, and the couple soon find themselves running for their lives from a contract killer. (PG-13)

9) Mars Attacks!

Tim Burton’s wacky sci-fi spoof has become a cult classic. Jack Nicholson “” playing the president of the United States “” leads a ridiculously star-studded cast. Martian spaceships hover above the world’s major cities. Do they come in peace? The title gives the answer away. (PG-13)

10) The Dark Crystal

Jim Henson and Frank Oz combined talents to make this kid-friendly fantasy film about a quest to save a world from evil. For many Gen Xers, this ranks with the Star Wars films as a childhood favorite. (PG)
