Horror returns to the Boardwalk in Atlantic City this month, as the New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival (NJHCFF) hits the Showboat Hotel March 29th through the 31st. After a successful show last September, this year’s event will include countless well-known celebrities from the worlds of horror and sci-fi, rock and roll, and pro wrestling and will feature exclusive Q&A panels, special events, hundreds of vendors, cosplay contests, photo ops, and more!
The guest list is simply unbelievable as convention creator Ryan Scott Weber really outdid himself. If you’re a fan of iconic horror legends or have a flair for fresher faces of the genre, you can’t go wrong here! In perhaps the highlight of the con, Lea Thompson and Thomas F. Wilson will appear at the main event for a Back to the Future reunion, while the cast of the 1989 original Stephen King classic Pet Sematary will also reunite just a week before the remake debuts in theaters. The con will also feature cast reunions from classics like Gremlins, Ghostbusters, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, and Night of the Demons.
Other amazing guests include wrestling superstar and lead singer of Fozzy Chris Jericho, horror veterans Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog, Creepshow), Joe Bob Briggs (The Last Drive In, MonsterVision), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Linnea Quigley (Night of the Demons, Return of the Living Dead), and from the 2018 breakout Terrifier, Art the Clown himself David Howard Thornton alongside director Damien Leone. You can check out the entire guest list.
It’s called the NJ Horror Con and Film Festival and those looking to be entertained and scary by the newest crop of up and coming directors will have their chances to check out over 50 short and feature-length films over the three-day event, brought to you by Wild Eye Releasing. The Showboat will also host amazing special events including A Special Night with Mick Garris (The Stand, Stephen King’s The Shining) Friday and Saturday at 8:00 PM and SCARYOKE hosted by the Crypt Keeper himself John Kassir, Saturday night at 9:00.
Weekend passes and individual day tickets to the con as well as presale photo ops, the full list of guests & films, and even hotel accommodations are available at their website.
See you there and prepare to be scared.
