Shudder May Preview Joe Bob Briggs The Last Drive-In Season 3

As the weather gets warmer so does Shudder, AMC’s horror streaming service. With the calendar about to flip to May, they released some highlights of their upcoming schedule.

On Friday, May 3, Eli’s History of Horror: Uncut podcast returns, with all episodes streaming. The first one features an in-depth conversation with the one and only Stephen King. Other guests on the podcast will include Quentin Tarantino, Rob Zombie, Diablo Cody, Bruce Campbell, Greg Nicotero, and more! Eli’s Roth’s History of Horror series debuted on AMC last year and all episodes are also streaming on their service.

Shudder also has a huge array of exclusives, older horror films, and series. Jenn Wexler’s The Ranger will premiere on Thursday, May 9th. The Ranger is a punk rock horror film about a group of rebels fleeing the police only to encounter a deadly park ranger while hiding out in the woods. It features a great performance by Jeremy Holm in the titular role, one that should make him a modern horror icon. Read my full review as well as my interview with director Jenn Wexler.

Later in the month on May 23, Brazilian horror film The Nightshifter debuts from director Dennison Ramalho, about an overnight morgue attendant who speaks with the dead.

May also brings four more episodes of Joe Bob Briggs’ The Last Drive-In Friday night double features that air live and garner huge audiences on Twitter interacting with Joe Bob and Darcy the Mail Girl.

On May 16th, Season 3 of Stan Lee’s Lucky Man hits Shudder. James Nesbitt plays Harry Clayton, a London cop with super luck from an ancient bracelet.
