While we’re still waiting for the first trailer for Rick and Morty season four, a clip shared at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 offers us our first look at the long-awaited new season.
In the clip we’re introduced to a new character named Glootie, who is doing a fine job of frustrating Morty and Jerry. Better yet, it was revealed that Taika Waititi voices this new character.
Click on over to the other side to check out the video, along with a pair of images from the new season which were released recently.
Waititi is best known for directing Thor: Ragnarok as well as providing the voice of Korg in Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame, and writing, directing, producing, and starring in What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Next up he has an episode of the Star Wars series The Mandalorian and Jojo Rabbit.
It was also recently announced that Waititi would be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to direct Thor 4, and that the live-action Akira movie he had been attached to was being put on hold.
Rick and Morty is set to return to Adult Swim for its fourth season in November of this year. You can find much more on the show right here if interested.

About Rick and Morty:
Rick and Morty is Adult Swim’s most scientifically accurate animated comedy. Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, it catalogues the bizarre misadventures of a bored scientific genius/drunkard and his socially awkward grandson, Morty. Their exploits tend to have unintended consequences for Morty’s dysfunctional family, especially his unfailingly mediocre father, Jerry. Watch Rick and Morty battle everything from interdimensional customs agents to Cronenberg monsters now.
