Emily Lawrence, an actress, writer, and veteran audiobook narrator, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a short film she is writing, producing, and starring in titled Lilith in the Garden. Described as a sci-fi drama that “looks at what makes us who we are,” Lilith is to be directed by Leslie Bumgarner, a longtime cinematographer who recently started to take on directing projects for short features and television, with actor Rob Mathes set to play the male lead. The target fundraising goal for the campaign is $5,000, and donors will be treated to all manner of juicy perks depending on the size of their donation. | Kickstarter Spotlight: Documentary About Legendary Music Magazine Creem
Creem Magazine, the premier source for all things rock and roll in its real guttural sense, and which became a sort of underground bible for the true outcasts (fans and musicians alike) in the 1970s, is the focus of an upcoming documentary, Boy Howdy! | Kickstarter Spotlight: ‘System Shock’ Remake
We’ve already seen some gameplay action for System Shock, a remake of the ’90s classic of the same name. The game spawned a direct sequel as well as a little game called BioShock, which is considered a spiritual successor. Now the System Shock remake has taken to Kickstarter to help ensure that it fully gets made and released, while also giving existing fans of the chance to get involved and share their thoughts instead of having a publisher put up the funding and possibly control things. In addition to launching the Kickstarter campaign, a new trailer has also been released along with a gameplay demo video offering a great peek at how things are looking. | Kickstarter Spotlight: A Different Free To Play ‘Fable’ Game
A few months back now the gaming world was shocked by the news that Microsoft had decided to close down the game studio behind the beloved Fable franchise, Lionhead Studios, and cancel the latest game in the series, Fable Legends. But, as it turns out, Legends was not the only project that was being worked on by Lionhead. A much smaller unannounced game titled Fable Fortune was also being developed. But instead of just tossing it in the garbage, as appears to be the fate of Legends, Microsoft granted permission to those who were developing it to continue working on it under their own new studio, Flaming Fowl Studios. To gather the funds for what could be the last Fable game we see in a long time, they’re looking to fans on Kickstarter.
