| Church Uses Lamb Of God Band Logo For Easter Drama
It’s the little things in life that make you smile. For instance, seeing that the logo for metal band Lamb Of God was used on the tickets for the annual Salem Community Easter Drama. Apparently, the town of Salem, VA, puts on this Easter drama every year in Sherwood Memorial Park and this year, they named their production “Lamb Of God.” Someone having to do with making up the tickets apparently found the band logo and plopped it on there and out it went. | Springtime Roundup Event At Disneyland Park (Video)
Right now, in Disneyland park in Anaheim, CA, there’s a big Springtime Roundup event at the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree in Frontierland. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are dressed in their Easter/Spring finest, and other characters like Br’er Rabbit, White Rabbit, Thumper, and more, including – of course – Mr. Easter Bunny, are greeting guests at the theme park. The event runs through Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, so if you’re in the Anaheim area this weekend, be sure to visit the Disneyland park for singing, dancing, egg decoration, and more Easter and Springtime fun. | Offended By Portrayal In ‘Star Wars’, Tusken Raiders Launch #CancelStarWars
Displeased by their portrayal throughout the Star Wars saga and the use of the derogatory term “Sand People,” the Tusken Raiders have launched the hashtag campaign #CancelStarWars, which calls for an end to the popular science fiction franchise. First introduced to audiences with 1977’s Star Wars, the Tusken Raiders, or Tuskens, say they are offended by the franchise’s frequent use of the ethnic slur “Sand People” when referring to their warrior race, according to URoRRuR’R’R, the Tusken leader best remembered for his attack on Luke Skywalker in the first film. “This is an outrage,” said URoRRuR’R’R, who spoke to Geeks Of Doom exclusively while stripping a nearby landspeeder for parts. “Our proper name was not uttered once in Star Wars: A New Hope, but yet ‘Sand People’ was used no less than 16 times.”
