For the big Star Wars fan, for that person who has to know everything, and probably already knows most of it, the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia is going to be just what you want. Coming to stores this November, this three-volume encyclopedia will contain just about everything you’d ever need to know about Star Wars.

The Star Wars universe is constantly expanding. In the ten years since the publication of the Star Wars Encyclopedia — the definitive reference guide to a space fantasy phenomenon — a lot has happened in that galaxy far, far away. Four new feature films, a host of official original novels, comics, video games, and more have introduced new characters, new lore, new events, and new revelations. This summer’s first blockbuster, Iron Man, will be released by Paramount Home Entertainment on September 30, 2008, as a single-disc DVD, as well as 2-disc Ultimate Edition DVD and Blu-Ray sets.

So sayeth the latest Marvel press release that invaded (get it?) my inbox over the past few days. I was going to just ignore it, and move along, but something got me about the press release. It was something I had missed when reading the books. The title heading for this 3-issue mini-series is “He Loves You.”

LOS ANGELES, July 10 — IMAX Corporation (NASDAQ:IMAX; TSX:IMX) and Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that the studio’s highly anticipated and technologically unprecedented summer movie, The Dark Knight, starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, and directed by Christopher Nolan, will open in a record 94 IMAX(R) theatres domestically on July 18th in conjunction with the film’s wide release. The film will also open in 15 IMAX theatres day-and-date internationally, with at least 23 additional international locations opening in the coming weeks.

BBC Video announced today a four city tour to celebrate the DVD set release of Spaced: The Complete Series, available for the first time in North America on July 22. Creator-stars Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) and Jessica Hynes (nee Stevenson) (Shaun of the Dead, Son of Rambow) and director Edgar Wright will travel to New York, Los Angeles, Comic-Con and Austin for special screenings, a marathon, panel sessions and signings for fanboys and fangirls.

The weeklong tour kicks off in New York City at the Village East Cinema on Monday, July 21, with a screening and Q&A session moderated by Elvis Mitchell (film critic and host of KCRW’s The Treatment). The week’s events include a Los Angeles screening and Q&A moderated by the very own Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma), a Comic-Con panel session moderated by Ain’t It Cool’s Drew ‘Moriarty’ McWheeny, a Fans’ Choice screening at Comic-Con, a Marathon screening at the Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse moderated by Ain’t It Cool’s Harry Knowles and signings at New York’s Virgin Megastore in Union Square, Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash West and Comic-Con. The final stop on the tour is the Late Show with David Letterman where Simon will be a guest on Monday, July 28.
