Empress Eve   |  @   |

Iron Maiden - Live After DeathBecause Iron Maiden RULES, it is with great pleasure that I report that the band’s classic live concert video Live After Death is being released as a 2-disc DVD in the U.S. on February 5, 2008.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The concert was originally released on video cassette in 1985 and was recorded during the band’s World Slavery Tour in support of the album Powerslave. At the time, the British heavy metal band’s line-up included singer Bruce Dickinson, bassist Steve Harris, drummer Nicko McBrain, and guitarists Dave Murray and Adrian Smith. (The current line-up also includes third guitarist Janick Gers.)

Disc one of the upcoming DVD will contain the original 90-minute concert recorded a four-night sold-out run at Los Angeles’ 13,200 capacity Long Beach Arena (scream for me, Long Beach!). Disc two will have over three hours of bonus features.

The Live After Death DVD will be release on February 4, 2008, in the UK (and from what I can tell, the rest of the world too) to coincide with the band’s Somewhere Back In Time World Tour (and yes, I HAVE MY TICKETS ALREADY – FUCK YEAH!). See tour dates.

For more information, check out the press release here after the jump.
