
In 2010, Tim Burton‘s Alice in Wonderland grossed over a billion dollars worldwide. The film sparked a trend for studios to reimagine or reboot classic fairy tale stories, most of which we met with mixed results. But the most surprising thing about the new Alice in Wonderland was that there appeared to be no interest in a sequel for a film that turned out to be one of the highest grossing films of 2010.
Now it appears that Disney wants to revisit Wonderland once more and they have gotten Linda Woolverton, the film’s first writer, to pen the script. Though Burton’s film shared the same title, the film was kind of a sequel to the animated film.
