
Whether it is to polish the script or add more product placement, studios asking for rewrites is not entirely surprising. But the controversy surrounding Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish’s ousting of Ant-Man came as somewhat of a shock. Part issues with product placement, part homogenizing the script, and part disagreements, Disney and Marvel replaced Wright with Peyton Reed at the helm and Adam McKay doing the rewrites.
But with McKay busy with other commitments, it’s hard to believe that the comedic writer would stick around long enough to fix the script during filming, and as such, new writers have been brought in to polish the work that’s been done. Hit the jump for more.
