Sony Pictures Entertainment has released a new official trailer for Men in Black: International, the fourth installment of the hit sci-fi comedy franchise which is based on the Lowell Cunningham comic The Men in Black. The movie stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Avengers, The Cabin in the Woods) and Tessa Thompson (Thor: Ragnarok, Sorry to Bother You, Annihilation), and is directed by F. Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious, Straight Outta Compton, Friday). In this latest entry the secretive organization, which is tasked with protecting our planet from any extraterrestrial threats, discovers that it has a mole within its ranks. | Tessa Thompson Could Reunite With Chris Hemsworth For ‘Men In Black’ Reboot
When it was announced that Chris Hemsworth was in talks for the Men in Black reboot, we learned that Sony was looking for a woman of color to fill the role of his partner. Now it looks like the studio has found that person. And it’s someone that Hemsworth already knows. New reports confirm that Tessa Thompson has joined the cast. | Chris Hemsworth In Talks To Star In ‘Men In Black’ Reboot
Sony has been working on putting together a Men in Black reboot for quite some time. At first, the studio had this crazy idea of using the franchise in a crossover with the Jump Street films, with a director even being hired at one point. But that hasn’t panned out yet (the idea is still being considered for the future). So now the franchises are back to being their own separate thing. They are already talking to F. Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious) to direct the film, and now it looks like they are talking to Chris Hemsworth to appear in the film. More on the story below.

| F. Gary Gray In Talks To Direct ‘Men In Black’ Reboot
Sony Pictures has struggled a bit trying to figure out where to go next with their Men in Black franchise. Back in 2012 they talked about plans for Men in Black IV, a sequel to 21 Jump Street, and a Jumanji remake. The latter two we’ve since seen, but a fourth MiB never materialized. Then came the surprising rumor of a possible Men in Black and Jump Street crossover movie, which sounded like it might actually happen for a while with James Bobin attached to direct a couple of years back. There was also word that Sony was planning a new trilogy for the franchise along the way. Now comes word that Sony is taking another step toward delivering a new movie in the series. They’ve entered into negotiations with F. Gary Gray to direct a reboot/spinoff of the franchise.
