Next year Disney and Pixar will be releasing their first prequel to a classic title. Monsters University will follow Mike and Sulley’s days as students of a prestigious university before they started working for Monsters Inc. It’s easy to see why Disney and Pixar would be rereleasing their films in 3D. The eye-popping presentation is a huge gimmick that gives a boost to the film’s numbers, and Pixar has been doing very well by rereleasing previous hits. It also gives us a chance to see it on the big screen if anyone missed it when it hit theaters back in 2001.
