It’s being reported that a sequel is in the works for It’s A Wonderful Life, the Oscar nominated 1946 Frank Capra classic starring James Stewart as a man who does nothing but help others but buckles under the stress of trying to stop a greedy man from taking over and destroying the town he lives in, and plans to commit suicide thinking it would be best for his wife and children before a guardian angel shows him just what life would be like for those closest to him had he never existed.
The sequel, titled It’s A Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story, will tell the story of Stewart’s George Bailey character’s grandson…also named George Bailey…who, unlike his grandfather, is very unlikable, and must be shown how much better the world would be if he had never been born.
