So is there life after Breaking Bad? Not only is there life, but there’s even new trails to blaze. All the hype, all the billboards, Facebook posts, articles, interviews, everything leading up to Sunday night’s premiere of Better Call Saul, AMC’s Breaking Bad prequel spin-off, is 100 percent justified.

With fever pitch buzz and then some, the anticipation for Better Call Saul runs higher than Everest. About a year and a half after we first knew about the show as Breaking Bad was ending its spellbinding run, Better Call Saul finally comes to bat, and from at least what the Pilot and the second episode presents, it’s an out-of-the-park knockout.

Better Call Saul sneak peek No Park Bob Odenkirk

Better Call Saul is coming to AMC this February, and with each new promo that’s released, we’re getting to know a little more about what Saul’s life was like before the events of Breaking Bad.

AMC has released a new teaser called “Danger Zone” – watch it here below.

The 10-episode first season centers on the character Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) in 2002 back when he was just a small-time lawyer named Jimmy McGill. Jonathan Banks reprises his Breaking Bad role as Mike Ehrmantraut, with Michael McKean as Chuck McGill, Saul’s brother; Rhea Seehorn from TV sitcom Whitney as Kim Wexler; and Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin.

Better Call Saul Production Image

Though some delays have pushed Better Call Saul back to a 2015 debut, our interest in the show is still quite high. So every bit of news is something we should savor until we get to see a trailer. We weren’t quite sure what the show would be; all we knew was that Bob Odenkirk would reprise his role as Saul Goodman, with Jonathan Banks returning to reprise Mike Ehrmantraut. The two roles tell us that this would at least be a prequel of sorts. But we also heard that it could be a sequel. Can’t be sure how compelling one would be if audiences were to watch Goodman managing a Cinnabon, but I’m sure Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould can figure it out.

Now it is confirmed that the comedy drama will indeed be a prequel and a sequel, but it will also be a series that takes place during the vents of Breaking Bad. Hit the jump to see Gould’s comments, and the possibility of original Breaking Bad characters returning to the series.

Better Call Saul

AMC’s Breaking Bad may be over, but its legacy will live on through its spinoff, Better Call Saul. Bob Odenkirk will return to play the sleazy lawyer with a silver tongue. Production is already underway in Albuquerque, New Mexico. But there seems to be a minor problem.

The original plan was to release the pilot episode later this year. The network also ordered a full season well before anything was shown. However, the release has experienced a few delays forcing the date to be pushed from 2014 to 2015. On the other hand, AMC has already renewed the series for a second season.

Hit the jump for more info.
