“F*ck Kelly, sh*t’s about to get loco up in this bitch!”

We’ve reached the midpoint in the third season of Ash vs Evil Dead on STARZ and we left off with all of our Ghost Beaters in peril as Ash (Bruce Campbell) was face to face with Ruby’s demon spawn while accidentally stuck to a Norwegian woman via a sink… it’s complicated. Meanwhile, Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) and Brandy (Arielle Carver-O’Neill) locked themselves in Ash’s trailer fending off a deadite Pablo (Ray Santiago). Picking up right where we left off, Episode 3.5, “Baby Proof,” focuses on the Ghost Beaters’ struggle to do something they’ve really never done before… NOT kill evil.

“Never get between a Poppa Bear and his cub,” – Ash Williams

“F*ck me it looks like a snuff film in here!” – Kelly Maxwell

First on Ash vs Evil Dead we find out that Ash (Bruce Campbell) is a dad — I know who’d thunk all that sex would lead to children!?!? At the same time he finds this out, Ash becomes a single father after a deadite decapitates his ex. This leaves Brandy (Arielle Carver-O’Neill) alone with only Ashy Slashy and the Ghost Beaters to help her. Meanwhile, the gang is facing issues when the new guy, Dalton (Lindsay Farris), a member of the ancient Knights of Sumeria, calls out Pablo (Ray Santiago) for his “Necronomicon tattoos” placing Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) squarely in the middle of a potentially explosive situation. Oh yeah and Ruby (Lucy Lawless) has the Necronomicon and a new demon spawn and is on her way to conquer the “Chosen One” once and for all…

Ash vs Evil Dead 303-07

It’s no secret that the future of the Starz series Ash vs Evil Dead is a little bit uncertain at the moment. This became clear when season three didn’t premiere around Halloween time, as the first two seasons had before it. The new season was pushed back a handful of months, premiering a few days back instead of this past fall.

The star of the series, as well as the original Evil Dead trilogy of movies the show shares a universe with, Bruce Campbell, recently did an interview about the new season. During this chat he was asked directly if there would be a season four, and also if there were any plans for a new movie in the franchise.

See what he had to say below.

Warning: Ash vs Evil Dead spoilers below…

After what felt like forever to Evil Dead fans, Ash is back! It took more than a year but Sunday night marked the return of everyone’s favorite chainsaw armed, boomstick blasting lothario, Ashley J. Williams (Bruce Campbell). I got to interview the cast during NYCC back in October, and they were all very excited about the twists and turns that this season will feature. Season 3 of the hit STARZ series picks up right from where season 2 ended, with Ash and the Ghost Beaters victorious over evil, and rewriting Ash’s legacy in his hometown of Elk’s Grove, Michigan. But c’mon, this is Ash and evil never stays dead for long.

Ash vs Evil Dead Season 3 Bruce Campbell

Finally! After over a year-long wait, Ash vs Evil Dead returns to Starz tomorrow night for the premiere of its third season. Fans of the series were left worrisome when Starz failed to promote the series ahead of its usual Halloween-timed premiere dates. At NYCC in October, the cast assured fans we would get the third season and we found out then that February 25th, 2018 was the date. Now it’s Ash vs Evil Dead Eve and we cannot be more excited for the best combination of gore, slapstick, and one-liners to hit our screens once again!

Check out the trailer for Season 3 here below, along with a behind-the-scenes preview featurette for the new season.

Ash vs Evil Dead pushed the boundaries of decency to the extremes in season 2, and they’re back to heat up the icy winter with a hot new season 3 trailer. We left Ash; the incomparable Bruce Campbell and the Ghostbeaters in Elk Grove, Michigan fresh off defeating the forces of evil. Pablo (Ray Santiago) is back from the dead, and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) is happy to have her “powerful vagina” back. NYCC 2017: Ash vs Evil Dead interview with Bruce Campbell

This past weekend, Ash vs Evil Dead took over this year’s New York Comic-Con. The Starz series proudly displayed their season 3 premiere date, 2/25/18, on a sign by their fan experience. That was set up outside the Javits Center the entire 4 days, allowing fans to walk through a replica set and create GIFs of them fighting deadites. On Saturday, they took to Hammerstein Ballroom, where stars Bruce Campbell, Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago, Arielle Carver-O’Neill, and Lindsay Farris treated fans to a special sneak peek of the season 3 premiere and conducted a panel discussion and Q&A. They were back at Javits later in the day signing autographs and taking photos. The highlight for me was joining a press roundtable where we got to speak to the cast members of the series about their experiences on the upcoming season.

Check out the interview with Bruce Campbell here below.

NYCC 2017: ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ Season 3 Screening and Panel With Cast

NYCC 2017: Ash vs Evil Dead Panel

Saturday marked Day 3 for New York Comic-Con and was the dead I had circled. It was Ash vs Evil Dead Day! Having attended this panel the previous two years, I knew I was in for a treat with this crew. I arrived to the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC at 9:15am for the Ash vs Evil Dead panel, which was to start at 12:30pm, and the streets were already packed with fans, many in cosplay as Ash and others showing off their Evil Dead tattoos. The place had fans overflowing and by the time 12:30pm rolled around, the theater on 34th and 8th Avenue in Manhattan was near capacity. There had been much tension amongst fans of the Starz series, as the network at that point had failed to announce a premiere date for the third season, especially since seasons 1 & 2 both debuted around Halloween. Thankfully, crisis was averted, and right in time for NYCC, Starz announced a February 2018 airdate.

Star Bruce Campbell came out onto the stage first, dressed in a typically spiffy smoking jacket and thanked the fans for putting his kids through college. As a reward, we were given a full screening of the Season 3 premiere (see info about the episode at the end of this post).
