| The GoD List: Comics For February 18, 2015 |
Each and every week, I, “Let it Snow!” Henchman 21 and “Noooooooooooooo!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible”¦ theoretically. Naturally, we look forward to some more than others. I mean, who doesn’t? So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of February 18, 2015. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. Well, I’m guessing that large parts of the country this week are going to have problems getting to their comic shops this week thanks to the joys of winter. Remember, the comics will still be there later, so if you need to wait to pick up your comics this week, that’s okay. You can just sit back and read about the comics you will buy once you can leave the house — or, gave the digital editions for those available in that format. | Support This: The Heroes DocGuys, there’s a geek-tastic documentary in the works that could really use your support on Kickstarter! The Heroes Doc by Jere Thomas and Matthew Tyndall is the story of the 30th anniversary of the Heroes Convention, hosted by Shelton Drum, owner of the legendary comic book shop Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find. The Heroes Doc tells the story of how the “Emerald City of the East” convention started in a hotel conference room and has grown to be one of the largest independent comic book conventions in the nation. The documentary tells the complete story of the man, the store, the convention, and all the people that make it possible. Jere and Matt have been following the Heroes team since last August; learning the day-to-day operations, watching as they prepare for special events like Free Comic Book Day, and looking at all of the behind-the scenes-action as they get ready for this year’s convention.

| Is DC’s Renumbering A Good Thing? |
By now, if you are a comics fan, you’ve heard that not only is DC Comics going to be re-launching all of their series with new number one issues come August/September, but they will also be releasing all of these new issues digitally on the same date that the printed versions arrive in comic book stores [read Entire DC Comics Line To Be Renumbered and Get Day-and-Date Digital Release]. This is a big deal as they are the first major company to do this for their entire line of superhero books (no mention is made of whether DC’s Vertigo line will also be released in the same way). With the rise of the iPad and other tablet PC’s, digital comics have come to be seen as the future of comics. They are seen as a way to get people who don’t normally go into comic book stores to try out the world of comics publishing. Whether this is actually happening is hard to tell. Exact numbers for how many copies of books have been sold digitally are split up between any number of companies, and it’s impossible to get everyone to combine their numbers. All we can really tell is that people are not going into stores in numbers that they used to.
