One of the trickier names to try and adapt for the big screen has been Dr. Seuss. Be it the fallible live-action takes on The Grinch and The Cat In The Hat or the shockingly watchable Horton Hears A Who, the big screen takes on Seuss’ works have been hit or miss.

And now it’s The Lorax‘s turn.

The first trailer for the upcoming Chris Renaud-directed take on the tale has hit, and it is quite stunning. Watch it here below.

Dr. Seuss’s ‘The Lorax’ Gets A Cast; First Image Released

Next up on the list of Dr. Seuss‘s classic stories to adapt is The Lorax.

Things began with live-adaptations of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, which was decent, and The Cat in the Hat, which was forgettable. After that, it was decided to try the computer animated path with a Horton Hears A Who! movie that could be considered the best of the Dr. Seuss movies we’ve seen, if not on par with The Grinch.

Sadly, none of these movies have risen beyond being just average fun to being great, but can all of that change with The Lorax?

The movie will use the same computer animated style of Horton Hears A Who! and now has an entertaining voice cast to help bring it to life.

Click on over to the other side to see who’s voicing who, and to get your first peek at the Lorax in all of his computer animated glory.

Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology
Blu-ray

Starring Michael Keaton, Kim Basigner, Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Christopher Walken, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jim Carrey, Tommy Lee Jones, Val Kilmer, Geroge Clooney, Uma Thurman, Arnold Schwarzenegger
Warner Home Video
Release Date: March 10, 2009

Yes indeed, ladies and gentlemen, fans of the original Batman films can now run out and purchase the entire four-movie set on good ol’ Blu-ray.

Since Christopher Nolan took over and re-invented the way we see Batman cinematically, most have forgotten about these original films — some, understandably so. While these movies aren’t as highly-praised as the new ones, they do, and will always have a place in comic and superhero movie fans’ hearts.

First and most importantly, keep in mind that this new release is Blu-ray, so no matter how many times you’ve seen the movies, you haven’t seen them at this quality level. Love them or hate them, they do look really great in Blu.

I highly doubt there are people out there who aren’t familiar with these movies and what goes on in them, so instead, I’ll simply talk briefly on each one and why ultimately, it’s worth picking up this set.

The first and the best known of the bunch is the original — Batman. Batman was one of the first big comic book superheroes to successfully grace the silver screen. Since then, as you all know, comic book properties have exploded into money-making machines. Very few properties remain as just publications.

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 3 DVDIt’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Starring Glenn Howerton, Kaitlin Olson, Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney, Danny Devito
Fox Home Entertainment
Release Date: September 9, 2008

After a 7-episode first season and a 10-episode second season, the question hanging over the young actors of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia was whether or not they could make the magic happen again for a whole 15-episode third season? Fortunately for fans of TV comedy, the answer is a resounding “Yes.”

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia chronicles the adventures of four amoral young adult misfits, Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), Charlie (Charlie Day), and Mac (Rob McElhenney), as well as Dennis and Dee’s deadbeat father Frank (Danny Devito). Together they try and run a bar, Paddy’s Pub, although the business serves only as a setting for the various amounts of legal and ethical troubles they get into. Most episodes begin with one of the characters coming up with some plan for self-improvement or self-betterment (e.g., Mac and Dennis want to try out for the Philadelphia Eagles) and end with that plan going horrifically wrong (e.g., Mac and Dennis fail at tryouts, Dee ends up with her ankle shattered, and Frank accidentally shoots a player in the leg).
