The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel is a mash-up of Star Wars and the Dunkin’ Donuts slogan called “The Empire Runs on Donuts” by artist Karen Hallion.

The sale at RIPT began today, Thursday, July 7, 2011, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

On Friday July 1, a group of mischievous comic book geeks, led in part by the hilarious guys over at Let’s Be Friends Again, will make their way to the local Dunkin’ Donuts to participate in The Pact.

What is “The Pact” you ask? Well, The Pact is an agreement amongst several comic book geeks to chronicle their adventures to Dunkin’ Donuts to purchase the all new Captain America-themed donuts. The Pact has garnered a lot of support amongst the comics-reading Internet, as can be seen by searching #THEPACT on Twitter, and you can join too! To participate, all you need to do is simply tweet Let’s Be Friends Again (@LBFAINC) with the hashtag #THEPACT or send them a message on their Facebook page. Pictures of yourself with the donuts are a plus, and while your at it, grab one of the many other Captain America-themed products, if you’re so inclined.
