Dying Light

With one week to go until the release of Dying Light, the new first-person free-running zombie apocalypse game from developer Techland, some of you might be on the fence as to whether or not to buy the game.

We’ve seen more than enough gameplay previews and trailers and such, but there’s only so much you can get from previews you know were made to look especially attractive and intriguing before they were released. No, no—the best way to see whether a game is something you might be interested in playing is to see others play it.

Like Techland’s previous zombie title, Dead Island, Dying Light will allow you to play with your friends if you so choose. There’s also a mode that allows you to play as a crazy overpowered zombie. Below you can find two gameplay demos, one focusing on co-op play and the other showing what it’s like to play as the zombie.

Dying Light Gameplay

We’ve seen a pile of highly anticipated 2014 video games get pushed back to 2015, because they were announced far too early to help boost sales of the newest generation of consoles. One of these games was Dying Light, the upcoming first-person zombie game from Dead Island and Call of Juarez developer Techland, which was delayed back in May.

As it turns out, being announced too early wasn’t the only reason for the game’s delay. Developing it for both current and last-gen consoles was proving too tricky to figure out, and so it’s been decided to completely cancel both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game.

You can read the full announcement below.

The Elder Scrolls Online Header Image

If you were looking forward to finally playing The Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 when it was scheduled to be released next month, or of you were looking forward to the first-person zombie game Dying Light, there’s a bit of bad news.

In a statement released today, it has been revealed that the Elder Scrolls Online will not be up to the standards set by developer ZeniMax Online Studios and publisher Bethesda Softworks in time, and it could take up to six months to get the wrinkles ironed out. This is no big shock considering many big games get delayed in order to ensure the quality is there, and this particular game is extra large. Not to mention the fact that MMORPGs running on consoles is still a new thing being figured out.

But still, this is a big deal just a month before launch when many people have already pre-ordered their copy of the game. For this, a special offer has also been announced to try to make up for the inconvenience. You can read the full statement, including what the special offer is, below.
