ZombiU

While the motion gaming of the Nintendo Wii has a massive family-friendly appeal, it never much impressed more seasoned gamers who wanted less cartoony party games to play. The creation of Microsoft’s Kinect and PlayStation’s Move have opened doors to more substantial motion gaming options, but the arrival of Nintendo’s Wii U looks to be hoping to lure some of those gamers their way with the announcement of ZombiU.

Whether the game ends up being a fun zombie game or not remains to be seen, but, in the very least, it does have some cool first peeks. The first is a trailer set to a haunting rendition of British national anthem “God Save the Queen” that’s reminiscent of that fantastic first Dead Island trailer, while the second is a gameplay trailer showing off how you’ll use the Wii U.

Check them both out by continuing below.

Gears of War: Jugdment

When the story of Marcus Fenix, Dom, Cole Train, Baird, and the rest of the COGS ended with trilogy-maker Gears of War 3, it was generally known that more games would eventually be made. The question was how long down the road would Epic Games wait to make another, and where would they go in the story with the threat Locust and Lambent threats taken care of, and their popular lead character, Fenix (voiced by John DiMaggio of Bender from Futurama fame), seemingly out of the picture.

The answers? Well, as it turns out, Epic didn’t want to wait long. A new installment in the series has been announced, titled Gears of War: Judgment, that will cover the rest of the questions by being a prequel. The game is set basically right at the start of all the chaos you just finally finished dealing with in Gears 3. It takes place about two weeks after E-Day (Emergence Day), and about fourteen years prior to the events of the original Gears of War.

God of War: Ascension

The mighty Kratos is back again, this time for a prequel story titled God of War: Ascension.

Sony brought plenty of exciting treats to show off for the game, starting with a nice gameplay demo and followed by the reveal of the first ever God of War multiplayer gameplay.

Taking place only six months after he was tricked by the god Ares into murdering his wife and child, Kratos is angrier than ever and seeking vengeance. With the multiplayer option, players will choose a god to align themselves with—Zeus, Ares, Poseidon, or Hades—and battle others to gain their favor and unlock new items and abilities to use against your foes.

You can see the gameplay and multiplayer demos for God of War: Ascension on the other side.

Dishonored

Another game shown off at E3 was for Dishonored, the new title from developer Arkane Studios and publisher Bethesda Softworks. A brand new (and amazing) gameplay trailer was released first, followed by a demo.

As seen in the first cinematic trailer, the game offers up a Neo-Victorian setting paired with a steampunk style. It combines first-person action gameplay with stealth gameplay, and players can approach it however they see fit—whether that be through massacring anyone in your way, or without killing a single soul. You’ll accomplish this using your expertise in many different weapons, as well as your extremely useful supernatural abilities.

Be sure to check out the new gameplay trailer and demo for Dishonored below now!
