| Bruce Campbell Talks ‘Evil Dead’ TV Series
The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, and Army of Darkness star Bruce Campbell recently chatted about his return to the role of Ash for a new TV series coming to Starz titled Ash vs. Evil Dead. The 10 30-minute episode first season was given the official go back in November. The show is expected for late 2015, with producers Sam Raimi (who will also direct the pilot) and Rob Tapert also involved, and picks up right where you might expect: with Ash living in a trailer park, still working some dead-end job. That’s when those rascally Deadites return, leading Ash on a road trip with two co-workers. See what Campbell had to say about the series below.

| ‘Evil Dead II’: A Brief Guide To The Sequel To The Ultimate Experience In Grueling Terror |
 |

There is really no clear reason for me to write an article about Sam Raimi‘s 1987 comic horror blast Evil Dead II. It’s not celebrating an anniversary (though it did turn 25 in 2011) and no one involved in its making is preparing to do anything major in pop culture. I suppose I’m writing this in order to give myself license to regurgitate the insurmountable wealth of trivia regarding this film, which I share with the the guys at Championship Vinyl as my favorite of all time, that the disturbing level of admiration I have for it has compelled me to compile within the unguarded storage unit of my mind in the 18 years since I first watched it on a rental VHS I procured from a neighborhood video store. Here now I present to you a compact yet nearly complete guide to Evil Dead II featuring some fascinating factoids and stories that you may or may not have already known, which all naturally depends on whether or not your love for the sequel to the ultimate experience in grueling terror runs as deeply in your soul as mine does. Bear with me, ladies and germs, for I am about to get even geekier than normally allowed at Geeks of Doom.

Ash didn’t get to spend much time back at S-Mart before the deadites returned and pulled him once again back to 1300s, where they have been growing in power since he left. Lead by the Wiseman, who read from the Book of the Dead and had his soul consumed, the deadites have plans to conquer the entire land. Now reunited with his medieval love, Sheila, as well as his boomstick and chainsaw, Ash is getting back into the swing of things and learning just what has happened since he left the land. Sheila and Ash, along with a company of men who worship the strange one, must retrieve the Book of the Dead if they are to stop this evil, but no sooner do they begin their journey then they come across a familiar face – Henry the Red! If you are saddened and confused about the consistent back and forth rumors that a second Army of Darkness movie will or won’t be made, than this ongoing series is just the cure for your woes. Picking up right where the theatrical cut of the movie ended, Ash and the Army of Darkness continues the tale of Ash and endless fight against the deadites.

| Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues Are No Longer A Part Of ‘Evil Dead 2’
For all the success of the Evil Dead (2013), and planning of merging the two Evil Dead franchises into one universe, the news of Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues no longer directing Evil Dead 2 comes off as a bit strange. The two were attached to work on the sequel after the first film had a box office smash its opening weekend, and they seemed excited about it those first few weeks. But the following months after the films release, those talks subsided, with most of the attention being focused on Sam Raimi‘s Army Of Darkness 2. Now in a new interview with Gorosito.TV, Sayagues says they have been off the project for months, and cannot confirm of the producers of the film have intentions with moving forward with a sequel.
