‘The Evil Dead’ Red-Band Trailer: Blood, Gore & Possessed Trees
There is a good chance that people will frown upon any remake of a classic or cult movie. However, as Bruce Campbell said in yesterday’s teaser, he knows what you really want in The Evil Dead. The actor promised us that it will be bloody, it will be gory, and it will be nasty. If you watched the announcement trailer, you might have heard the faint overwhelming applause from those who saw a teaser at the The Evil Dead Panel at the New York Comic-Con, which would indicate that Campbell has delivered on his promise.

‘The Evil Dead’ Teaser: Bruce Campbell Knows What You Really Want
Teasing the teaser trailer is a very common practice made by the studios. But the teaser for The Evil Dead remake doesn’t really fit into that category; it’s more like an announcement trailer that a teaser is coming tomorrow. That’s right, after being met with a joyous round of applause earlier this month at New York Comic-Con, the first teaser trailer for The Evil Dead remake hits the web tomorrow.

‘Cloverfield’ Actress Jessica Lucas Cast In ‘The Evil Dead’ Remake
After losing their star in Lily Collins and finding her replacement in Jane Levy, the rest of the cast for the remake of Sam Raimi‘s cult classic, The Evil Dead, is coming together.
Consisting of lesser-known and unknown actors and actresses, the cast also currently features Shiloh Fernandez and Lou Taylor Pucci in addition to Levy.
Now comes word that Jessica Lucas has entered into talks to join the remake, where she would play a nurse and the best friend to Levy’s lead character, a girl with drug problems who heads to the remote cabin deep in the woods with her friends to try and get sober.

Jane Levy Replaces Lily Collins In The ‘Evil Dead’ Reboot
That didn’t take too long.
Just a week or so after losing Lily Collins, Deadline reports that the upcoming remake/reboot of the Evil Dead franchise regained a leading lady, this time in the form of Suburgatory star Jane Levy.
The new Evil Dead will be helmed by Fede Alvarez, who also wrote the film’s script which is currently getting the once over from current “˜it’ scribe Diablo Cody, and will find Levy as Mia, “a character that corresponds to Ash,” the original series protagonist.

Lily Collins Leaves ‘The Evil Dead’ Remake

A little back story.
After it was announced that not only would the beloved Evil Dead franchise would be rebooted with a script from Diablo Cody and director Fede Alvarez, but that one Lily Collins would be the star of the film. However, that’s not the case.
Variety’s Jeff Sneider tweeted that the actress would be leaving the project due to scheduling issues. No one has popped up replacing the young thespian, but this is such a hot project, it’s impossible to see this thing staying vacant for too long.
