
Better late than never, I guess.
After what seems like years and years of waiting in release purgatory, the long gestating remake of the, for some reason, beloved film Red Dawn, has found a brand new distributor to finally bring it to the public.
With a digitally assisted move from Chinese to Korean baddies, the film has been the focus of more than its fair share of controversy, and itself was addled by it, thanks to a long standing bankruptcy battle involving the original studio, MGM. Now, according to the LA Times, the film will be released thanks to FilmDistrict in 2012, nearly three years after the film was originally slated to make its mark.
