| ‘Firefly Online’ Multiplayer Role Playing Game Coming To Mobile Platforms |

The legion of Firefly fans looking for new material in the universe have reason to rejoice today as Fox Digtial Entertainment and QMx Interactive announced plans for Firefly Online, the first officially licensed video game for the cult TV show and movie. The game is set to launch in Summer 2014 and will be available on iOS devises and the Android marketplace. The game lets players take on the role of a ship captain, just like Captain Mal Reynolds from the show, where they will find a ship, hire a crew, and take on missions so they can keep flying. Players will also be able to customize their ship while they explore the “˜Verse, and will also be able to connect with other players using unique social features. There’s no price information on the game yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see if there will be a one-time price for it or if they will go with a monthly price or go with the freemium model of micro-transactions for in game items. | Joss Whedon Talks The Return Of ‘Firefly,’ Quicksilver & His Wish To Make A Batman Movie
It’s time for the annual (or bi-annual, or tri-annual, or monthly) Firefly update! BREAKING NEWS: It’s still canceled *shakes angry fist at Fox* as you expected. But show creator Joss Whedon did a Q&A session after a screening of his micro-budgeted filmed-in-the-back-yard-when-he-had-time-while-filming-The-Avengers take on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing at an event hosted by the Film Society at Lincoln Center. In addition to answer the obligatory Firefly question, Whedon also answered some other interesting questions, including one about the drama (or lack thereof) regarding the comic book character Quicksilver being in both Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past for Fox and Whedon’s The Avengers 2 for Marvel and Disney, and one that revealed his desire to jump into the world of Batman.
