| Six Vintage Classic Horror Inspired Posters For Tim Burton’s ‘Frankenweenie’Disney will be releasing Tim Burton‘s latest stop-motion animated feature Frankenweenie this Friday. So to mark the special occasion, the studio has unveiled six vintage posters inspired by some of the great horror movie classics. Like Sparky, which is a dog that has Frankenstein-like qualities, these posters feature the other household pets seen in the film sharing some sort of trait with a classic horror monster. Check out all six vintage posters below. Based on the live-action short of the same name, Frankenweenie follows a boy named Victor who successfully brings his beloved dog back to life by using the miracles of science. When his classmates find out about this, they attempt to do the same thing in order to win the school science fair. However, their attempts do not warrant the same results as Victor’s did.

A short new featurette has been released looking at the making of Tim Burton’s upcoming stop-motion feature, Frankenweenie. The video discusses how personal the project is to Burton, the actors involved—including Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder, and Martin Landau—and who they’re playing, and looks at some of the puppets and sets used for filming. | ‘Frankenweenie’ Trailer: Tim Burton’s Tribute To Classic Horror FilmsAs you saw from our reaction post made earlier today, we are pretty excited for Frankenweenie. It’s a Tim Burton film that blends classic horror motifs (mostly from Frankenstein) with stop-motion animation and 3D effects. We’ve already seen two trailers for Frankenweenie, but none of them paid homage to the classic horror films the way this new retro trailer does. Check it out below.

| SDCC 2012: ‘Frankenweenie’ Panel With Tim BurtonFrankenweenie, the upcoming Tim Burton vehicle which has been a pet project for him since his inception as a filmmaker/animator almost three decades ago, first appearing as a short and now finding its way as a full length feature, had its debut today at Comic-Con. Hosted by Chris Hardwick and first introduced by some 3D footage of the upcoming production which was akin to an old Universal Pictures trailer, replete with black and white and overblown narration, Frankenweenie is a film about a boy’s resurrection of his beloved dog.
