| NYCC 2019 Interview: ‘Game Of Thrones’ Photographer Helen Sloan, Author Of ‘The Photography Of Game Of Thrones’
At this year’s New York Comic-Con earlier this month, I got a chance to meet some incredible women who helped shape and capture the world of one of TV’s biggest shows of all time, Game of Thrones. The HBO series just finished its 8-season run earlier this year and the fantastical series based on The Song of Ice & Fire books by George R.R. Martin is probably the largest endeavor in television history. One of the key women behind the scenes was Helen Sloan, principal unit photographer on the series since day one. At the Insight Editions booth on the NYCC show floor, Sloan was signing exclusive copies of her forthcoming book, The Photography of Game of Thrones, co-written by Michael Kogge and licensed by HBO, and available now for pre-order. I got a chance to speak to Sloan about her time working on the show and her upcoming book.

Do you love movies and TV? Do you spend tons of time talking about movies and TV? If so, then the Stardust App is most certainly for you. Available for both iPhone and Android devices, Stardust is the best social media platform available for entertainment fans. The app allows you to make 30-second reaction videos to any movie or TV show, down to the episode. Your video then goes online with thousands of other fans leading to tons of awesome interactions. You can direct message other users, comment on their reactions and make genuine friends. You can also share your Stardust reactions to other social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. The best part, and the reason I call it the best form of social media”¦ no trolling and no negativity. And believe me, I’m on the app all the darn time. I have personally recorded over 1,600 Stardust reactions and never one fight or argument has resulted. When I got invited to interview Stardust founder and CEO Derek Forbes, I was truly excited to thank him for creating it, but more excited to hear about how the app is growing and expanding. Before founding and becoming CEO of Stardust in July of 2017, Forbes was the President of Vista Entertainment Solutions and COO of Vista Group Limited. Check out my full interview with Forbes here below.

An animated Homer Simpson, everyone’s favorite TV dad, tried to open the annual TV event, though that was short-lived when a giant piano fell on him. This left Anthony Anderson scrambling to put things together and Bryan Cranston to talk about the history of TV. Winners included Game of Thrones, Fleabag, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Check out the full list of nominees with winners in bold here below.
