| Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ Series Casts Its Ciri and Yennefer
Now that Henry Cavill has been set to play Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher series, casting on some of the supporting roles has begun. The latest castings include two big supporting characters, Ciri and Yennefer. Ciri is set to be played by Freya Allan, while Yennefer will be played by Anya Chalotra. Also joining the cast is Jodhi May, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Adam Levy, MyAnna Buring, Mimi Ndiweni, Therica Wilson-Read, and Millie Brady. | Christopher McQuarrie Addresses ‘Man Of Steel 2’ and ‘Green Lantern’ Rumors
Warner Bros. has put another Superman film on the back burner. The film has struggled to get even a sequel announcement and now that Henry Cavill will no longer play Superman, it seems very unlikely we will ever get a Man of Steel 2. The only possible person who could have prevented this all from happening was Mission: Impossible – Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie. The filmmaker had worked with Cavill on the latest Mission: Impossible film, and even talked to the actor about a possible sequel. However, nothing came of it. But this wouldn’t be the first time that he has been approached to direct a DCEU film. A new interview also reveals that he was also in the mix to direct Green Lantern. More on the report below.

| WB Considering Michael B. Jordan To Play Superman; Supergirl Remains A Top Priority
The fallout of Henry Cavill‘s exit from the role of Superman as a part of Warner Brothers’ DC Extended Universe continues. Of course, the next step for the studio is to find Cavill’s replacement, and it didn’t take them too long to come up with a brilliant name. New reports say that the studio is considering Creed star Michael B. Jordan to play the new Man of Steel. This obviously would be a huge departure for the hero who has normally been portrayed as Caucasian. However, the studio is also putting a higher priority on Supergirl. One of its major issues is that most of the films that have been released could never match the critical or commercial success of Marvel Studios releases.
