| HFPA Pairs Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg To Host The 76th Golden Globes
Hosting an awards show like the Oscars is not as glamorous as it used to be. With ratings continuing to decrease, it’s nearly impossible to find someone who wants to take on the gig. Even when they do manage to find someone, how well (or poorly) the show is received may very well be on them. So as you can see, it comes as no surprise that it has taken as long as it has to find hosts for upcoming awards shows. Kevin Hart was just hired to host the Oscars. So not to be overshadowed, the Golden Globes will be flexing its muscles by bringing in two hosts. A very unlikely pair. New reports confirm that Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg will host the 76th Golden Globe Awards. More on the report below.

| Surprise! Ricky Gervais Set To Host Golden Globes Yet Again
Either comedian Ricky Gervais has some incredible mind control superpowers, or the Hollywood Foreign Press has a very, very short memory. It’s being reported that Gervais will be returning to host the Golden Globes on January 15, marking his third time on the job in a row. The amusing thing about all of this is that Gervais has gone out onto the stage the past two years, drink in hand, and thrown down viciously hilarious performances, laying waste to any and everyone in sight. Nothing sacred, no celebrity safe. Yes, he’s faced a whole lot of backlash for his reckless approach, but he’s also won over a sea of fans who appreciate someone in Hollywood calling it how it is…laughing till it hurts along the way.

| Ricky Gervais Explains Random Disappearance During Golden Globes
The recent Golden Globes are getting a ton of attention due to the controversial (sorta…it’s not really all that bad — has anyone even seen South Park?) hosting job by comedian Ricky Gervais. Most notably, Gervais took major shots at some questionably nominated films and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association themselves…during their own awards ceremony, nevertheless. Due to this, it was immediately said by one member of the HFPA that Gervais would not return as host, nor would his work ever be nominated. Unless they were bribed effectively enough, of course. Apart from all of that drama, a mini-mystery arose during the program where Gervais disappeared for about an hour or so, sparking conspiracy theories that he had been fired mid-show. This was not the case, as it turns out, as Ricky explained what happened. Click on over to read what the host had to say.

| Ricky Gervais Banished From All Things Golden Globes, Including Future Nominations?
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is at it again, folks. Just one night after putting on yet another mediocre-yet-entertaining ceremony, it sounds like the organization behind the awards has minimal sense of humor, and wants to punish the best part about their show of the last two years: the host. Last year, Ricky Gervais made his hosting debut at the Golden Globe Awards, and pushed so many buttons that many (myself included) thought that they would never bring him back. Shockingly, they quickly announced that Gervais would be back again, showing that they’re okay with some comic jabs. Of course Gervais would have to up the ante this year, and that he did…but apparently he crossed the “line.” Click on over for a quote from a Hollywood Foreign Press member, and to see a video of the Gervais opening monologue that has celebrities and suits so very bitter this fine day.

| Controversy Strikes Golden Globes Yet Again With Bribery Accusations
The popularity of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and their Golden Globes ceremony has been on a steady decline as it has become more and more evident that they favor the flashy and famous as nominees and winners over the talented and deserving hopefuls each year. Said popularity has taken yet another turn for the worse as new accusations of bribery have come hot on the heels of the announcement of this year’s nominees, which included some fairly reprehensible names and titles as awards contenders. The controversy mainly revolves around two particular films: The Tourist, starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, and Burlesque, which stars Cher and Christina Aguilera. Both of these movies were nominated in the Best Picture Comedy or Musical category, while both also have been overwhelmed with a bombardment of poor critical reception and massive box office failure.
