‘Into The Badlands’ Season 2 Trailer Released; Premiere Date Announced
AMC has released the first trailer for season two of Into the Badlands, their wild post-apocalyptic steampunk martial arts ride of an original series. They’ve also announced a premiere date for fans to circle on their calendars.
The show has proven to be something of an acquired taste—not for everyone, but a satisfying escape from reality for those it is for. It combines impressive visuals, fight choreography, and unique and intriguing settings. Because it’s not for everyone, it was quite a while before AMC officially ordered the second season. To try to help bring in some new fans, the great Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) was added to the cast and can be seen in the trailer below.

‘Into The Badlands’ Season 2 Officially Ordered By AMC
Fans of one of the newest original series from The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad network AMC, Into the Badlands, have been anxiously awaiting word on whether or not there will be a second season to look forward to.
These days we often see new seasons ordered after the numbers are seen for the first episode or two—and sometimes even before a single episode has even aired—but not for Into the Badlands, despite it scoring the third-highest U.S. cable TV numbers of all time for a first season, helped along by its airing after episodes of the aforementioned Walking Dead. But thankfully AMC has decided, after this lengthy consideration period since the first season finale, that they will in fact be giving the show a season two.

The trap is set. Ryder has aligned with Jacobee, and The Widow to kill Quinn and take over The Fort. Quinn doesn’t trust anyone though. He sees through Sunny who is hiding things from him. There’s a traitor in The Fort who snuck The Widow in. And Jade, his new wife-to-be was poisoned. Sunny meanwhile has to deal with a pregnant girlfriend, who Quinn told him not to see anymore, defending The Fort from invaders and MK’s mysterious dark power. Sunny has a way out, but that requires Mk’s head delivered as payment. It has come to this, the season finale of AMC’s Into the Badlands.
