Release Date: October 29, 2019 Co-written and directed by Chuck Russell (A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors), 1988’s The Blob is a remake of Irvin Yeaworth’s 1958’s drive-in classic. And, like Philip Kaufman’s Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982), and David Cronenberg’s The Fly (1986), it’s the rare remake that stands on its own while improving upon its source material in the process.

| Walker Stalker Con: A Weekend With The Walking Dead
This past weekend, the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison, NJ hosted Walker Stalker Con. The convention featured stars of AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead as well as several other guests. The ferocious fans, many dressed as zombies (cough… walkers) were given an opportunity to meet, greet, get autographs from, take selfies with, and coolest of all, chat with their favorite actors. The weekend of the 2nd/3rd we were at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Secaucus, and one thing that was obvious at both cons, sometimes smaller is better! | Walker Stalker Con: A Quick Talk With The Walking Dead’s Dale
Not often would I call a weekend surrounded by the living dead a ton of fun, but that was Walker Stalker Con in Edison New Jersey. Featuring the stars of AMC’s hit The Walking Dead, as well as some other special guests, Walker Stalker Con brought cast members old and new, alive and dead… together. While Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) and Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) were the major attractions, many of the show’s biggest supporting stars were there as well, including Hershel (Scott Wilson), Andrea (Laurie Holden) and Dale (Jeffrey DeMunn). When my wife and I met with DeMunn for a photo opportunity I had a chance to speak with the actor briefly. More below.

| Frank Darabont’s ‘Mob City’ Will Not Get A Season 2 From TNT
Fans of Frank Darabont‘s TV follow-up to The Walking Dead, Mob City, will be saddened to learn that a second season is not on the way. TNT has decided not to continue with the show, which premiered this past December as an event series with three two-episode installments equaling out to a six-hour debut season. While it looked excellent, the show simply did not deliver the numbers and attention to win additional episodes.

| REMINDER: ‘Mob City’ From Former ‘Walking Dead’ Showrunner Frank Darabont Premieres Tonight
Just a quick reminder for those of you who have been anxiously awaiting the next TV show from Frank Darabont, the former showrunner of AMC’s The Walking Dead who was fired from the position, that it premieres on TNT tonight at 9 p.m. EST. The show, titled Mob City, is set in post-World War II Los Angeles, with some of the same characters seen in the video game L.A. Noire and the recent movie Gangster Squad.
