Air Date: Sunday, May 8th, 2016, 8:00pm Last week, Once Upon A Time was full of betrayal and heartbreak. We got to see an Emma (Jennifer Morrison) origin story about how she became a bail bondsman, and acquired her signature red leather jacket. She also helped Hades (Greg Germann) get Zelena (Rebecca Mader) from Gold and Pan (Robert Carlyle and Robbie Kay), after they predictably tried to double-cross them. Since that didn’t work, Gold stole Robin Hood’s heart to give to his youthful father. That was a sham, as Gold double-crossed him and gave him a skin filled with water instead from the River of Souls. Hades took the names off of the tombstones, but the heroes couldn’t follow yet. That shared heart thing did not work because Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) was dead for too long. Hades told them how they could get their shot, but that was a dead end. Although it did prove their true love, there was no magic ambrosia left to help, and Emma had to leave him. It was all a setup. Also setup were the rest of them, trapped by Cruella and the blind witch. Emma was able to save the others and they all left the Underworld through the portal. Goodbye Hook. Spoilers below.

Air Date: Sunday, November 15th, 2015, 8:00pm Last week on Once Upon A Time, we meet the original Dark One, Nimue, true love of Merlin (Elliot Knight). Unfortunately, he created that monster. Having drunk from the Holy Grail, he was infused with power and immortality. He and Nimue fell in love, and he wanted to give it all up for her. She was having none of that, wanting the power to avenge her village. In the end, in present-day Storybrooke, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) is successful at repairing Excalibur. Zelena (Rebecca Mader) pretends to help, but then joins Arthur’s (Liam Garrigan) crazy team. She is able to make the other half of Excalibur a sword that can command Merlin. Uh-oh. Spoilers below.

Air Date: Sunday, October 18th, 2015, 8:00pm Last week on Once Upon A Time, we learned via flashback Lancelot (he’s alive! Sinqua Walls) that Arthur (Liam Garrigan) may not be what he seems. Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) will probably have to try to break up the budding bromance between David (Josh Dallas) and Arthur. The suspicions are confirmed twofold to the viewers, when we see Arthur holding the Crimson Crown, a magical object that could allow them to speak to tree-trapped Merlin. But David almost drowned via ghostly knights, and Arthur saved him. I really don’t want David’s heart to be broken. In present-day Storybrooke, Arthur makes his squire commit suicide for his mysterious evil cause. Meanwhile, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) tries to snuggle up to Hook (Colin O’Donoghue), who is not having it. But really needs a blank slate to pull Excaliber from the stone. Voila! Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle)! Some spoilers below.

Air Date: Sunday, April 19th, 2015, 8:00pm Before we get to Once Upon a Time 4.19 “Sympathy For The De Vil,” let’s recap the “Heart of Gold” episode from last week. It was all about Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) and Marian a week ago when Gold (Robert Carlyle) goes to Neal’s apartment and finds the family there. We were all surprised to find out that Zelena (Rebecca Mader) was alive and well and had been posing as Marian, since we met her back in time. So Emma (Jennifer Morrison) didn’t ruin Regina’s (Lana Parilla) happy ending. But Robin is in severe danger and now Regina knows it. She makes a deal with Gold and agrees to help him turn the Savior dark.
