GI Joe: Retaliation PosterG.I. Joe: Retaliation
Directed by Jon M. Chu
Screenplay by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick
Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, Ray Park, Bruce Willis
Paramount Pictures
Rated PG-13 | 110 Minutes
Release Date: March 28, 2013

Directed by Jon M. Chu (Step Up 3D), G.I. Joe: Retaliation is the sequel to Stephen Sommers’ instantly forgettable 2009 film, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

At the conclusion of that film, Zartan (Arnold Vosloo), having had his physical appearance altered by nanomites, infiltrates the White House and assumes the identity of the President of the United States of America (Jonathan Pryce).

Chu’s sequel begins with Zartan in control of the United States government. The master of make-up and disguise frames the G.I. Joes as traitors and launches an all-out attack on the Joes, wiping out their ranks (including Channing Tatum‘s Sgt. Duke) in one fell swoop.

Meanwhile, Storm Shadow (Lee Byung-hun) and Firefly (Ray Stevenson) infiltrate a top-secret subterranean prison to free Cobra Commander. Previously portrayed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the supreme leader of COBRA is played by Australian actor Luke Bracey this time around and voiced by Robert Baker.

Cobra Commander’s plan is simple: eliminate the world’s stockpile of nuclear weapons so COBRA can rule the world unopposed by using Zeus, a sub-orbital weapon of mass destruction that’s twice as powerful as a nuclear bomb.

Jurassic Park 3D Header

Jurassic Park is heading back into theaters early next year for a 3D re-release, because regular re-releases are just jurassic. Yeah, the film came out in 1993 and I didn’t get a chance to see it on the big screen, so watching it in 3D might not be so bad. Universal even has released a new trailer for the 3D re-release. Check it here out below.

That’s right Sam Neill, Richard Attenborough, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Joseph Mazzello, Ariana Richards, Wayne Knight, and Samuel L. Jackson are all returning to the big screen and in 3D. This means you get to relive the fear of dinosaurs chowing down on some of your favorite characters and some of the magical awe of seeing characters watch dinosaurs come to life. In fact, it’s limited run may be the only time you will get to see these dinosaurs on the big screen.

The Social Network movie posterThe Social Network
Directed by David Fincher
Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Armie Hammer, Justin Timberlake, Joseph Mazzello
Release date: September 24, 2010

“I need to do something substantial in order to get the attention of the clubs because they are exclusive and lead to a better life.”

This quote comes from Harvard sophomore Mark Zuckerberg, a founder of Facebook, while discussing to his soon to be ex-girlfriend what he hopes to get out of the Harvard experience. The movie shows the pursuit and systematic exercise of belonging. No matter how we get the observation from someone we are dying to impress or mock, just as long as we get it. The infectious poison that urges man to reign over all has been rapidly diffused throughout David Fincher‘s new film The Social Network. The movie is about the consequences of moral transgressions and the physical, social, and moral decay. The decay pervades our sordid society; a society that feasts on fame, glory and fortune.
