‘Mindhunter’: New Trailer For David Fincher-Directed Netflix Series Released

Netflix has released a new trailer for their upcoming original series Mindhunter. The show is created by Joe Penhall (The Road) and executive produced by David Fincher (The Social Network, Fight Club) and Charlize Theron (Atomic Blonde, Mad Max: Fury Road).
Fincher also directed multiple episodes of the crime drama, a genre he’s of course no stranger to having previously directed titles like Se7en, Zodiac, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Gone Girl. Other directors include Asif Kapadia (Senna, Amy) and Andrew Douglas (2005’s The Amityville Horror).
You can find the new trailer for Mindhunter below.

David Fincher Nears Signing On To Direct ‘World War Z 2’

Back in August of last year, there was a report that David Fincher was in talks to direct the tentatively titled World War Z 2. Then in February Paramount pulled the sequel off its release schedule because the film never actually went into production. Just after that, it was reported that Fincher was still interested in the project.
Now Fincher is reportedly getting closer to inking a deal that would have him direct the zombie thriller, reuniting him with Brad Pitt once again. Trouble is, even if he does end up directing, the film still needs a greenlight. More on the story below.

David Fincher Reportedly Still Interested In Directing ‘World War Z 2’

One of the major reasons why Paramount was forced to pull World War Z 2 off its release schedule, was because the film never went into production in the first place. The sequel to the sleeper hit could never lock down a director, thus stalling the film, which eventually led up to what happened earlier this week.
After director J.A. Bayona departed from the film, Se7en, Fight Club, and Gone Girl director David Fincher was named as a possible replacement. He’s worked with Brad Pitt twice before, so the idea makes plenty of sense. Well, it looks like Fincher is still very much interested in the gig. Find out more on the story below.

The film was originally set to be directed by David Fincher. However, disagreements over the film’s budget and casting choice forced the two to part ways. As a result, the film was put on a production halt until a director could be found.
So after being stalled for the better part of three years, it seems that Disney has found a new director to be at the helm. According to a new report, James Mangold (Walk The Line, The Wolverine) has signed on to be the director of Captain Nemo. More on the story below.

David Fincher Collaborating With Trent Reznor On ‘Fight Club’ Rock Opera

The first rule of Fight Club is…you do not talk about Fight Club.
The second rule of Fight Club is…you do not talk about Fight Club.
But singing about Fight Club? That’s cool.
Believe it or not, True Believers, David Fincher‘s hypnotically brutal and satirical cult classic of Gen X masculinity gone horribly – and hilariously – wrong is looking to become the latest cinematic masterpiece to invade the Great White Way.
Fincher and Nine Inch Nails front-man (and one half of the composing team on his last three films – The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Gone Girl) Trent Reznor are working on a Broadway rock opera adaptation of the filmmaker’s excoriated, and later celebrated, 1999 release Fight Club.
