WARNING: Spoilers for HBO’s Game Of Thrones….

Last week’s episode of Game Of Thrones saw Arya reunite, briefly, with her direwolf Nymeria while on her way back home to Winterfell; Jon Snow was heading to Dragonstone to join forces with Daenerys (!!!) while leaving Sansa in charge of the North in his absence; Samwell Tarly was attempting to cure Jorah Mormont of Greyscale, while his father Randyll Tarly was in King’s Landing with all the other Tyrell bannerman where Cersei and Jaime Lannister were trying to convince them to turn coat; and the show gave us what was possibly its most loving sex scene between a man and a woman, one of whom is a eunuch. It all ended insanely with crazy Uncle Euron Greyjoy attacking Yara and Theon’s fleet, which was carrying Ellaria Sand and her daughters, the Sand Snakes, back to Dorne to raise an army to fight Cersei. During the attack, not only were two Sand Snakes killed (Obara and Tyene), but Ellaria and Nymeria were taken captive, as was Yara. Theon, though, took the cowardly way out and jumped ship.

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Jon Snow Petyr Baelish

Episode 7.2 “Stormborn”
Directed by Mark Mylod
Written by Bryan Cogman

WARNING: Spoilers for HBO’s Game Of Thrones….

Last week’s Season 7 premiere of HBO’s Game Of Thrones opened with the mass yet justified murdering of the men of House Frey at the vengeful hands of Arya Stark. It was a long-awaited, satisfying moment for the series, but it didn’t set the stage for the rest of the episode, which was calm in comparison. We saw Bran and Meera finally make it to The Wall, while nearby the White Walkers were marching south. At Winterfell, the new King in the North Jon Snow pardoned the treasonous bannermen that had fought with the Boltons — he needs as many men — and women — as he can for the coming battle against the dead. Because as we learned right away from this season, Winter Is Here. Sansa Stark has learned over the years to be more ruthless and less trusting from her wicked captors — Cersei Lannister and Ramsay Bolton — and sly mentor Petyr Baelish, and wants Jon to be so as well, but he’s not willing to go that route. Meanwhile, Cersei, now the self-proclaimed Queen of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, demanded that House Stark come to King’s Landing to bend the knee to her (which they won’t). In King’s Landing, there was tension between Cersei and her twin/lover Jaime Lannister, which only increased after the arrival of Euron Greyjoy, who wants a marriage alliance with the new Queen. In Old Town, Samwell Tarly was close to discovering how to defeat the White Walkers; we also saw that Jorah Mormont is there as well, alive but still infected with Greyscale. Finally, Daenerys Targaryen and her allies — and dragons — made it Westeros to her ancestral home of Dragonstone, where she is ready to begin planning her takeover.

WARNING: Spoilers for HBO’s Game Of Thrones….

After waiting an excruciatingly long 13 months of waiting for the premiere of Season 7 of Game Of Thrones. And while it feel weird that “Winter Is Here” in mid-July, I think we can all agree that we’ll take it!!!

So, do you all remember what happened during Season 6? I’m guessing, YES! Because what an amazing season it was (check out the rundown of the Season 6 finale). Not only was it the season that saw the resurrection of Jon Snow, but also the reveal of the bastard’s heritage — he is, in fact, as suspected, the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. Yes, he’s a Stark-Targaryen, not the bastard son of the noble Ned Stark. There was also the reuniting of Jon Snow and Sansa Stark, which led to the satisfying Battle Of The Bastards, where Ramsay Bolton finally got what was coming to him. Season 6 also ended with the death of Cersei Lannister’s third and last child, the boy king Tommen, who killed himself after watching his wife and other subjects die in an explosion in the city. Oh, and it was Cersei who caused the explosion! While Cersei takes the crown, Daenerys Targaryen, the rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, allied with Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Theon and Yara Greyjoy, the Tyrells, the Martells, and of course, her three huge dragons, and more, finally sets sail to Westeros to claim the Iron Throne.
