
Fans of Marvel’s X-Men line have a lot to be excited about after the panel held Friday at San Diego Comic-Con. The big announcement of the panel was an image showing Magento’s return in a storyline titled “Nation X.” The story begins in September, and will run in the pages of Uncanny X-Men. Writer Matt Fraction said that this storyline will be used to make the X-Men a more cohesive line, and that the story has been building up since at least issue #500. The other big news is an upcoming crossover between X-Force, New Mutants, and X-Men Legacy, which will be titled Necrosha and will deal with Selene bringing back a number of dead mutants and attacking the teams.

Issue 50 of X-Factor will bring the current year long story to a close. Writer Peter David also said that readers should expect the current romance between Madrox and Layla Miller will cool off, and says that he always wants the characters the take two steps back for every one step forward when it comes to relationships. He also said that readers would see some big developments with Strong Guy, and also that he would get into Shatterstar’s parents, especially with Longshot being on the team. There was also a comment made that seemed to say that Rahne may be back in the pages of X-Factor.
