| NYCC 2013: Marvel Announces ‘All-New X-Factor’ Coming In 2014I was sad when the previous run of Peter David‘s X-Factor ended last month after a solid 8-year run, but I am happy now that Marvel has announced that they will be bringing the series back in 2014 under the new name of All-New X-Factor, and that David will return as the writer of the series. Joining him on art will be Carmine Di Giandomenico. The new series will jump off of events set up at the end of the last run, with Polaris working with Serval Industries to lead a corporate-funded superhero team. Joining her will be Polaris’s half-brother and former X-Factor member Quicksilver, as well as Gambit, coming off his own recently canceled series. We’ll also see some other members on the team, although those haven’t been announced yet.

So, let’s take a look into the depths of my pull list, grab some comics, and I’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of January 16, 2012. Single issues and trades, they’re all here. You guys may not care about this, but hockey is back this week, and that has me excited. Almost as excited as the comics coming out this week. Okay, I’m probably more excited for hockey, but comics are a very close second. Anyway, it’s another great week with some pulp action, a milestone issue, and hey look at that, another new Wolverine series if you’re interested. All that, plus a collection from one of my favorite creators means I will have plenty to read while kicking back this weekend and watching the sport of Canadian kings. So, order some poutine, stop by a Tim Horton’s, and relax as we spend two minutes in the box with The GoD List!

We’ve got all sorts of great single issues and collected editions that are coming out of the woodwork to get you all twisted into a much more awesome and better-looking version that you were before. I don’t know how that’s possible, but I’m pretty sure that it’s what’s going to happen. Anyway, like I said, there are so many good books this week. We’ve got some awesome stuff coming in Dark Horse Presents, hopefully a good starting point for Animal Man, the second part of Superman’s origin in Action Comics, the newest issue of “The Best Comic In The World” Locke and Key, the second issue in what could be the best new comic of the year in Fatale, another strong candidate for comic of the year with Winter Soldier, and even more in single issues, you guys. That’s not even touching the collected editions, but we’ll get to that later. Some of the comics mentioned above will be chosen, but which ones are as yet undetermined, so read forth young geeklings to find what books that we have picked out for you… within The GoD List.
