| Michael Fassbender Will Return For ‘Prometheus 2’
No matter how you feel about Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus, a sequel has been under development for a couple of years. The prequel to Scott’s Alien franchise focuses on a human space expedition to help understand their origins. While we still don’t know much about the plot or if Noomi Rapace will reprise her role as Elizabeth Shaw for the sequel, Scott will return to direct Prometheus 2, and now he has confirmed that Michael Fassbender will reprise his role as the android David. | New Video For ‘The Martian’ Featuring Neil deGrasse Tyson
A new promotional video has been released for The Martian, the upcoming sci-fi drama directed by Ridley Scott and starring Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Michael Peña, Sebastian Stan, Jeff Daniels, Kristen Wiig, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sean Bean, Mackenzie Davis, Aksel Hennie, and Donald Glover. Instead of a trailer, the video is presented realistically, as a special episode of StarTalk with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson talking about mankind finally visiting Mars and the upcoming mission there that we’ll see in the movie. | ‘Prometheus 2’ Could Delay Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Alien 5’
As Ridley Scott completes his work on the upcoming The Martian, reports are suggesting that Prometheus 2 could be his next project. The sequel would be the follow-up to his Alien prequel which saw Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender flying towards the Engineer’s homeworld in an attempt to find out why they want to destroy humanity. Earlier this month, it was being reported that Scott would actual begin filming the movie next January, although it wasn’t clear how this might affect production for Neill Blomkamp‘s Alien 5. Now we are learning that Prometheus 2 could have a huge affect on the production of the next Alien movie. More on this story below.

| Ridley Scott Might Shoot ‘Prometheus 2’ In January
The ending for Prometheus left the door open for sequels and a possible direct bridge to the Alien franchise. But because of its lackluster performance at the box office, development on the sequel has been slow going. Then came word that Neill Blomkamp would direct Alien 5, stirring up rumors that Prometheus 2 could also be on its way to actually going into production.
