In the world of reboots, another commercial and cult fave, Xena: Warrior Princess may get its day on NBC. The show, which ran 6 seasons from 1995-2001, was a spinoff of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys with Kevin Sorbo. Lucy Lawless played the fierce Amazonian main character who was on a mission for redemption, traveling to lend her sword for good. Now, original executive producers Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi are reported to be looking for a scribe. More on the story below.

| SDCC 2015: Official ‘Ash Vs. Evil Dead’ Trailer
While Star Wars is the big show in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this fine evening, another panel horror geeks will be very interested in was held for the upcoming Starz TV series Ash vs. Evil Dead. The show is based on Sam Raimi‘s classic Evil Dead trilogy of movies, and once again stars Bruce Campbell in the title role. But the most exciting thing about this particular panel, is that it promised to deliver the first official trailer for the show. A promise that it most certainly delivered on. All it took was 20-seconds and Ash Vs Evil Dead, which debuts this fall on Starz, is already my favorite show on TV. In the 20-second video, we see puddles of blood with droplets causing a ripple effect. The camera pans north towards a bloody chainsaw, replacing the right hand of a man with a smooth, sexy voice… Ashley J. Williams, known the world over as simply, Ash. “Ash is back baby.” Watch the video below.

| ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’: Starz Unveils Teaser and Poster For Upcoming Series
Starz has released an early promotional teaser video and poster for their upcoming action-horror-comedy series Ash vs Evil Dead, which gives us a look at the logo the cable network’s marketing department has cooked up. You can check them both out here below. The series, which is currently filming in New Zealand, continues the story of the Evil Dead trilogy with chainsaw-wielding blue collar hero Ash (Bruce Campbell) back to battle the forces of evil with a team of sidekicks to please the younger demographic. Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, and Jill Marie Jones co-star. Lucy Lawless recently joined the cast as Ruby, “a mysterious figure who is myopic in her quest to hunt down the source of the recent Evil outbreaks,” according to Starz.

| Bruce Campbell Talks ‘Evil Dead’ TV Series
The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, and Army of Darkness star Bruce Campbell recently chatted about his return to the role of Ash for a new TV series coming to Starz titled Ash vs. Evil Dead. The 10 30-minute episode first season was given the official go back in November. The show is expected for late 2015, with producers Sam Raimi (who will also direct the pilot) and Rob Tapert also involved, and picks up right where you might expect: with Ash living in a trailer park, still working some dead-end job. That’s when those rascally Deadites return, leading Ash on a road trip with two co-workers. See what Campbell had to say about the series below.
