PC gamers have been waiting for Rockstar Games to make their juggernaut Grand Theft Auto V available to them for over a year now. They will finally get their wish when the game is released on PC come January 27, 2015, and thankfully the game is good enough to be worth the wait.

GTA V is also set to be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in a couple of weeks on November 18th, and one of the shiny new features being offered on all three of these newest releases is, believe it or not, the option to go into first-person perspective! That’s right, one of the most popular third-person franchises of all time will now be playable as a first-person game, if you so choose.

Rockstar has released a video showing off the first-person gameplay, and you can see it below now.

Sure, it’s always fun to see your favorite video games, movies, and TV shows include references or Easter Eggs of other favorite games, movies, or shows.

But sometimes you just gotta make your own references! And a game like Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V is just the kind of toy box that makes those kinds of fan made references possible.

So often is this franchise criticized for its ultra violent content, folks forget to look at the the non-controversial aspects of the game. These new videos offer timelapse views at the world that Rockstar Games created, and should be praised for into the foreseeable future. Watching them you almost forget just how brutal GTA V can be.

The launch of Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V was easily one of the most anticipated launches in gaming history, and the results said all they needed to say. The game laid waste to all other forms of entertainment with an $800 million first day, and joined the elusive billion dollar club a couple of days later.

These numbers were unheard of, and now they’re being etched in stone. Guinness World Records is the source for all things records, and they’ve confirmed that GTA V has broken six standing entertainment sales record, ousting the likes of the Call of Duty franchise (who owned the record books for a string of years) and movies like Avatar and The Avengers.
