| Ron Perlman Becomes A Goblin In ‘Harry Potter’ Spinoff ‘Fantastic Beasts’Production is currently underway for the first Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. Set 70s years before the events of Harry Potter, in the 1920s, Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander, the wizarding magizoologist who is in New York documenting numerous magical creatures. His discoveries would eventually become “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” a textbook that would be used as required reading in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Now, the spinoff has just added Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy) to the cast as a goblin. More on the role in the report below.

There is no denying the void that Harry Potter films have left behind. Luckily Warner Bros. has given spinoff movies the green light. The first spinoff will be an adaptation of the classic Hogwarts textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Newt Scamander, a “magizoologist” who writes the textbook for which the film is based on, will be played by Eddie Redmayne. It will be directed by David Yates using script by J.K. Rowling. Now Fantastic Beasts is looking for some female leads, and a new report says that Saoirse Ronan and Dakota Fanning are among those in the running for one role, while Kate Upton and Elizabeth Debicki are among those up for another. | ‘Lost River’ Trailer: First Look At Ryan Gosling’s Trippy Directorial Debut
The first trailer for Lost River, the directorial debut effort from Half Nelson and The Place Beyond the Pines star Ryan Gosling (who also wrote the screenplay), has been released online by Warner Brothers Pictures. The movie has had a bit of a bumpy ride thus far, being met with a mixture of applause and boos when screened at the Cannes Film Festival. But whether or not you’ll enjoy the final product or not is to be determined on another day. This is about the first trailer. And it’s most certainly a strange and just a little bit trippy trailer to behold. Clearly Gosling has been trying to learn from the directors that he has worked with in the past, especially in his time with Nicolas Winding Refn for Drive and Only God Forgives.
