| Syfy’s Dominion Cancelled After Only 2 Seasons
Syfy has certainly broken my heart. One of my favorite shows, a little jewel I discovered just after its first season aired has been cancelled. Dominion, based on 2010s Legion, was set 25 years after angels fell to Earth and warred with mankind – the war that began on Christmas Day, 2016. The Chosen One, Alex (Christopher Egan) grew up protected by the Archangel Michael (Tom Wisdom), who believed it was God’s will. He often fought his own brother, the archangel Gabriel (the delighfully evil Carl Beukes) who wanted mankind destroyed. More below.

Air Date: Thursday, September 3rd, 2015, 10:00pm Last week on Dominion, Alex (Christopher Egan) proved even chainsaw wielders are no match again him. But a mob of 8-Balls might be, so Michael (Tom Wisdom) swooped in and saved him and Noma (Kim Engelbrecht). Julian (Simon Merrells) changes tactics with hostage Gabriel (Carl Beukes), and decides to torture him via sexy hallucinations. What does he imagine? An orgy with Arika (Shivani Ghai), Claire (Roxanne McKee), and Noma. Not a terrible way to be broken. William Whele (Luke Allen-Gale) is back and preaching about being chosen by God. We flashbacked to General Riesen’s (Alan Dale) past and got an awesome look at the beginning of this dystopia. I can understand why he succumbed and agreed to become a dyad. Claire’s people get the drop on Zoe’s (Christina Chong), and she is badly hurt. David (Anthony Head) and Arika’s treachery is found out. He’s arrested and she runs away, but not before she slips a little poison into Gates (Nic Bishop) glass. Claire goes to Zoe’s cell and shoots her in the head.

Syfy
Air Date: Thursday, August 27th, 2015, 10:00pm Last week on Dominion, we went back (via flashback) to when Gabriel (Carl Beukes) was in charge of a chosen one, namely, his son David. David’s destiny was to save everyone by felling the giant Goliath, which he performed excellently, with a little angel guidance from Michael (Tom Wisdom). But something must have turned Gabriel to the dark side, and it is revealed that the king killed his son, and replaced him with an imposter he could control. All this flashbacking happened while Julian (Simon Merrells) was shock torturing the two brothers. Gabriel sacrifices himself not once, but twice, for Michael – taking all of the shock at first, and then shoving Michael through a door to freedom, when he tries to drag Gabriel with him. I love him. Julian messes with General Riesen (Alan Dale) by showing up with an 8-Ball that has the lower angel who was inside his wife Clementine. Confused? Him too. And me too. Zoe (Christina Chong) agrees to meet with Claire (Roxanne McKee), but David Whele (Anthony Head) mucks it up by ordering a secret failed hit, getting Claire in the leg, which causes a miscarriage. In a comedic, yet horrific turn (the best kind), Alex (Christopher Egan), and Noma (Kim Engelbrecht) find themselves in a huge store, filled with supplies, corpses, and 8-Balls who still think they work there… until they don’t and attack. They are dispatched of pretty quickly, but the mob of 8-Balls outside (one with a chainsaw) don’t bode too well for the plucky duo.

Air Date: Thursday, August 20th, 2015, 10:00pm Last week on Dominion, David Whele (Anthony Head) sticks Zoe (Christina Chong) right into the forefront of a revolution. He writes her a speech to broadcast to the entire city of Vega, but halfway through, she broadcasts her own written from her heart. She is really upset because her BFF Jasper dies, but powers through. So much so that she shoots David in the leg as a warning. Gates (Nic Bishop) intercepts the message to put Claire’s message through, but is put in danger when Arika (Shivani Ghai) passes this along to David. Claire (Roxanne McKee) rewards this insolence with sex. Noma (Kim Engelbrecht) and Alex (Christopher Egan) escape Julian (Simon Merrells) and New Delphi, after Noma rips out her own wings (Ewww!!!). Michael (Tom Wisdom) and Gabriel (Carl Beukes) do not.
