| Syfy’s Dominion Cancelled After Only 2 Seasons
Syfy has certainly broken my heart. One of my favorite shows, a little jewel I discovered just after its first season aired has been cancelled. Dominion, based on 2010s Legion, was set 25 years after angels fell to Earth and warred with mankind – the war that began on Christmas Day, 2016. The Chosen One, Alex (Christopher Egan) grew up protected by the Archangel Michael (Tom Wisdom), who believed it was God’s will. He often fought his own brother, the archangel Gabriel (the delighfully evil Carl Beukes) who wanted mankind destroyed. More below.

Air Date: Thursday, October 1st, 2015, 10:00pm So… what did you think of the finale? Last week on Dominion, we found out exactly when the Angel War started, way in the past – Christmas 2016, and that Gabriel (Carl Beukes) started it. AND… that Noma (Kim Engelbrecht) was on Gabriel’s side at the time. This is revealed during a knock-em-down, drag-out fight between Gabriel and Michael (Tom Wisdom). Michael is getting his angelic ass kicked by darker than usual Gabriel, until he reveals their bro Lucifer is still around and in Mallory, Alabama. In the aftermath of the Amphora illusions, everyone is self-reflective and for the most part, regretful. Except William Whele (Luke Allen-Gale). He’s a crazy killing monster, that David Whele (Anthony Head) has to put down whilst sobbing. I think he had no choice. David was finally genuinely helping Claire (Roxanne McKee), when William came in, smashed everything, and opened the gate to the 8-Balls. Arika (Shivani Ghai) seems good now, but she really just wants to go home, rescuing a little Vega girl on the way. Claire and Alex (Christopher Egan) flirt in front of Noma, as their impending 8-Ball doom approaches rapidly. Be sure to check out the Dominion “Herald Angels” music video which matches the light Christmas ditty, “Hark, The Herald Angels Sing” with the kills from season 2. That video is below.

Air Date: Thursday, September 24th, 2015, 10:00pm Last week’s Dominion was completely bananas, and the best Dominion I have ever seen. Darkness-infused Gabriel (Carl Beukes) set the Amphora upon Vega, and everyone started hallucinating, except Alex (Christopher Egan). Just another benefit of chosen one tattoos. Everyone pretty much went batshit crazy. Claire saw her baby and a world where she and Alex and Willow (the baby) were a happy family. David (Anthony Head) had a noose around his neck when he was saved at the last minute… by an 8-Ball version of himself. 8-Ball David taunts and torments real David. Arika has a role reversal, and finds herself chained and called 8-Ball by Claire (Roxanne McKee) and Rose (remember Rose?). The picture of her mother almost haunts her, and she almost kills herself. William Whele (Luke Allen-Gale) has visions of Gabriel, Claire, and lastly Alex telling him he is not the chosen one. Late to the party (the Amphora affects angels more slowly) are Noma (Kim Engelbrecht), who thinks her wings are back, to the point where she finds the Amphora and wants to fly away with it, and Michael (Tom Wisdom), who has visions of Noma killing Alex. That made him want to kill her. When Alex finally closed the Amphora, everyone was shaken and regretful.

Air Date: Thursday, September 17th, 2015, 10:00pm Last week on Dominion, we lost Gates (Nic Bishop) in an extreme act of sacrifice, just when he and Alex (Christopher Egan) were on the sweet side of competitive bonding. General Riesen (Alan Dale) switched over to the angel side of dyad-ism after Gabriel executed Clementine. The human part of him could not handle the pain. Michael plays poker with the Prophet for his soul and Mallory, Alabama. Luckily he wins, but that luck will not hold out for long. William Whele (Luke Allen-Gale) allowed David (Anthony Head) to be captured by Claire (Roxanne McKee). Gabriel (Carl Beukes) dropped the Amphora into the city of Vega.

Syfy
Air Date: Thursday, September 10th, 2015, 10:00pm Last week on Dominion, Michael, Noma, and Alex (Tom Wisdom, Kim Engelbrecht, and Christopher Egan) make their way into Vega with Claire’s (Roxanne McKee) help, and then everybody’s feelings get confused. Dominion showed us the softer side of Arika (Shivani Ghai -in the way way past), and it makes her ruthlessness a bit more understandable now. Julian (Simon Merrells) amphora-sizes Gabriel (Carl Beukes) in an effort to take over his body, but we knew that couldn’t happen, right? Now Gabriel is pure evil, and Julian barely escapes with his life. Michael passes out and meets The Prophet in his mind (which also happens to be in Mallory, Alabama).
