Last week on Dominion, Alex (Christopher Egan) proved even chainsaw wielders are no match again him. But a mob of 8-Balls might be, so Michael (Tom Wisdom) swooped in and saved him and Noma (Kim Engelbrecht). Julian (Simon Merrells) changes tactics with hostage Gabriel (Carl Beukes), and decides to torture him via sexy hallucinations. What does he imagine? An orgy with Arika (Shivani Ghai), Claire (Roxanne McKee), and Noma. Not a terrible way to be broken. William Whele (Luke Allen-Gale) is back and preaching about being chosen by God. We flashbacked to General Riesen’s (Alan Dale) past and got an awesome look at the beginning of this dystopia. I can understand why he succumbed and agreed to become a dyad. Claire’s people get the drop on Zoe’s (Christina Chong), and she is badly hurt. David (Anthony Head) and Arika’s treachery is found out. He’s arrested and she runs away, but not before she slips a little poison into Gates (Nic Bishop) glass. Claire goes to Zoe’s cell and shoots her in the head.
Dominion 2.9 “The Seed Of Evil” review: So what happened this episode? What didn’t happen this episode?!?
Julian put an eyedropper full of darkness over Gabriel’s eye, and plop! Amphorae eye blackness plus mind manipulation equals many bad things for Michael. And bad things for Julian too. Did he really think he could beat Gabriel? Especially, Gabriel hopped up on wrath? Gabriel strikes him down. But don’t count Julian out just yet. He is a wily fox, that one.
We get an Arika flashback this episode, and now know what changed her from a daddy’s girl to this ruthless, traitorous wench. Still gorgeous though. Gates visited said traitorous wench, because he finally figured out that she poisoned him. This chick is always thinking. If he wants the antidote, he has to get her and her lover out of there.
David sees William, and is all amazed, but William is not a fan. Understandable. There’s a crazy plan. That was to be expected.
The chosen one, the high angel, and the wingless one, make their way back to Vega, and try to sneak past a scary field of 8-Balls, but they soon wake up and attack. Claire sends help, and is rewarded with a kissing shot of Alex and Noma. They do have a teary reunion (the baby). My message to Alex: Ok. So I know you and Claire have this history and connection, but Noma ripped her wings out for you dude!
We saw the Prophet! Remember? The one who visited Mallory, Alabama? You’ll have to watch to find out who it was, but he did affect Michael, without getting near him.
My heart was once again in my throat this episode. I am really upset about Gabriel going after Michael, this prophet guy doesn’t seem too good for Michael’s health, and this William Whele plan is definitely going to go awry.
For the first time ever, I decided to live tweet with the cast and crew of Dominion last night (like my name was William Shatner), and although I was a little awkward at first (not fast enough, confused my @s with my #s), I soon got the hang of it. And it was really gratifying to interact not only with some of the Dominion gang, but the other fans who were freaking out right along with me during the show.
Here are some of this rabid fan’s tweets from last night:
