
The term “six seasons and a movie” was originally coined by Abed (Danny Pudi) on Dan Harmon‘s TV comedy Community. And throughout its struggles of Chevy Chase and Donald Glover leaving, Harmon being kicked out for only a season, and ratings decline, somehow Community was able to last five seasons, which is far more than anyone would think.
However, NBC decided not to renew the cult sitcom for another season, and thus fans’ hopes of seeing the “six seasons and a movie” were crushed. To make matters worse, those same fans had hoped the comedy series would be revived on Netflix, only to find out the online network didn’t have the rights to pick it up.
Now a glimmer of hope has emerged, as Hulu is in the running to bring the show back for its sixth season.
