Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

During EA’s “pre-E3” event this weekend we got a 14-minute first look at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay. But wait, there’s more!

During Microsoft’s showcase at E3 2019 an official trailer for the game was released. In it the game’s main character, (played by Shameless and Gotham star Cameron Monaghan), meets a familiar face: Saw Gerrera, played by Forest Whitaker in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Clone Wars.

You can find more info on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and check out the new trailer below.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Gameplay

In April a reveal trailer was released for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which publisher Electronic Arts promised would be the single-player game fans have been begging for since EA scored a deal with Disney giving them the exclusive rights to develop Star Wars games back in 2013. It’s been over six years since that deal was signed, and only multiplayer shooters Battlefront and Battlefront II, as well as a mobile game, have been released. With this game EA was finally promising no multiplayer and no loot boxes, just a single-player adventure to enjoy.

At the time it was assumed that we might see more when E3 2019 rolled around. And with the gaming convention kicking off this weekend, EA did just that by holding their EA Play event. During the presentation the first gameplay from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which is developed by Respawn Entertainment, was unveiled. The video runs nearly 14 minutes long, and you can find it below along with more info on the game.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

It’s been nearly six years now since Disney signed an exclusive deal with Electronic Arts to handle all Star Wars video games. That deal has not gone very well, to say the least. It’s actually been kind of a shitshow. In those six years, only three games have been released—Battlefront, Battlefront II, and a mobile game—despite having multiple teams working on various projects.

Fans have been begging for a good single-player Star Wars game, but EA kept focusing on the money-making multiplayer. They did, to be fair, add a single-player campaign to Battlefront II after outrage over there not being one in the first game. But it was primarily a multiplayer game, and we still haven’t gotten that story-driven, single-player game we’ve been craving.

But now there’s a new hope. Today, a reveal trailer was released for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a story-driven single-player action game which EA promises will have no microtransactions or loot boxes. You can check it out below.
