Killing Gunther Header Image

An official trailer has been released for Killing Gunther, an action comedy starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The movie is written and directed by Saturday Night Live alum Taran Killam, who is making his directorial debut.

The story follows a group of assassins who have grown sick and tired of Gunther (Schwarzenegger), the greatest hitman alive. To fix this problem, they join forces in hopes of simply making him not alive anymore. An easy enough plan on paper, but one which proves to be a tad bit more challenging than anticipated.

SNL Michael Keaton Tribute Monologue

Michael Keaton made it big in the 1980s with lead roles in films like Beetlejuice and Batman, but the next two decades saw his career take a downward slump. But thanks to his lead turn in 2014 in the Academy Award-winning best picture Birdman, the 63-year-old actor has been riding high on the comeback wave.

Last night saw Keaton return as host of Saturday Night Live for the first time since 1992. You would think the actor’s major comeback would be the subject of his opening monologue, but instead it was hijacked by SNL cast members Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan, who desperately wanted him to play Batman and Beetlejuice with them.

Check out Keaton’s full monologue here below, along with some other skits from the episode.

Created by Saturday Night Live star Taran Killam, who co-wrote this first issue with Mark Andreyko, The Illegitimates is an interesting premise in need of a better story and artist.

It’s somewhat similar to the current Velvet series, in that both are concepts spun out of a James Bond-ish world. With Velvet, the concept is “What if Moneypenny were the most dangerous one of them all?”, while The Illegitimates posits that a Bond-like spy, a badass who bedded countless women, inevitably spawned some little badasses along the way.
