| Geek Gear: Thundercats ‘Thundercut Outs’ Shirt
The $10 t-shirt deal of the day over at TeeFury today is a Thundercats-themed shirt called “Thundercut Outs” by gaunty. The sale began at Teefury today, Saturday, August 25, 2012, at midnight EST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site for $10 anymore, though it might continue into the next day for $13 (look for the After Hours bar at the top).

| WonderCon 2011: Cartoon Network Debuts Trailer For New ‘ThunderCats’ Series
Children of the ’80s will want to take note of the new ThunderCats animated series, which Cartoon Network promoted by debuting the show’s trailer at WonderCon 2011.
If you were too young to be smitten with talking kitties, you still may want to check the show out as it’s being produced by folks who’ve worked on Batman: The Brave and the Bold (Michael Jelenic) and The Last Airbender (Ethan Spaulding). Larry Kenney, who voiced the original Lion-O in the 1980s version, returns to provide the voice of Claudus in the new series.

| Cartoon Networks Anime-Style ‘Thundercats’ Gets A First Trailer
The first trailer for the Cartoon Network’s Thundercats has shown up online. The animated series is a reboot of the classic ’80s kids show with a makeover giving it more of a Japanese anime look. Before this all we had to go on was an image that had been released, making many fans of the original a little skeptical of these new-look Thundercats. The hopes here is to win over a new fan base for the property, as well as keep all of the old fans who loved the show when they were kids. This seems like it will be a challenge for the old school fan, however, as it’s tough for nostalgia’s sake to warm up to the new look (for me, anyway).
