Michael Bay Attacked By Man Armed With An Air Conditioner On ‘Transformers 4’ Set

At first I wasn’t really interested in this story because the early reports made it seem like it was just another man who broke onto the set of Transformers: Age Of Extinction and threw a punch at Michael Bay. There were also reports of an extortion scheme floating around. But soon the story developed into something stranger and started to resemble something you would see in an arcade beat-em up. It turns out that someone did break onto the set of the film while it was in production, got passed security, attacked a couple of crew members, and eventually got to Bay. His weapon of choice: an air conditioner.
Hit the jump to read statements from Paramount and Bay.

‘Transformers 4’ Gets An Official Title and Teaser Poster

Transformers fans sat through three movies without seeing the Dinobots make an appearance, but for the upcoming fourth one, Michael Bay is making sure that they will make one grand entrance.
As you might have guessed from the header, Transformers 4 will have Dinobots. But instead of calling it just Transformers 4, Paramount has retitled the film, which will now be called Transformers: Age of Extinction. There have been rumors as to what the title could really be, and Paramount has bought a few domain names to throw a few people off, but in the end they have settled for Age of Extinction. Optimus Prime Gets New Look and BumbleBee Goes Old School In ‘Transformers 4’ Images

Recently, images of Autobot disguises, a Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse and a Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray, were teased. But as to what Autobot would take the respective forms remains to be seen, although Sideswipe did disguise himself as the Stingray in both Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen and Transformers: Dark Of the Moon, whether or not that will carry over into Transformers 4 remains to be seen. So whilst the two vehicles go without robotic forms, two new images of familiar Autobots have been released.
Optimus Prime is getting a whole new body for Transformers 4, but is pretty much keeping the same color scheme that he has had from the last three Transformers films. However it’s Bumblebee who is getting a body by getting an old school makeover. Unfortunately it won’t be old school like VW Bug. Hit the jump to check out the new car bodies for Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

Geek Peek: First Look At Autobot Disguises For ‘Transformers 4’

Transformers are famously known for being robots in disguise. Their forms have ranged from Mack trucks, fast cars, VW Bugs, tanks, and jets to cassette players and tapes (if you’re old school like that). But Michael Bay‘s vision has been a bit more grounded – if you could call it that – making sure that the sizes of Autobot and Decepticon could match their vehicular form.
Now with Transformers 4 well into production, we are getting our first look at two cars that will be seen in the film.
Check them out below.

Michael Bay Casts Jack Reynor In ‘Transformers 4’; Says It Starts New Trilogy

A majority of any news concerning Michael Bay’s films has skipped the Hollywood trades and studios press releases and have been released online via his website. His latest announcement wasn’t for Pain & Gain, but for Transformers 4. And it isn’t just a casting announcement that is making waves, it’s that Transformers 4 will set up a brand new trilogy.
First up the casting news. Bay has cast What Richard Did’s Jack Reynor to play a race car driver and boyfriend to the daughter of Mark Walhberg’s character. Though Bay didn’t mention any specific details about the character, casting calls that went out described the character as such. So there could have been changes to the character since the call went out, but we won’t get into that much since Bay’s characters have as much personality as a rock.
