We’ve seen the Super Bowl spot for the fourth entry in the Transformers franchise, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and now comes the first official teaser trailer.

The trailer begins with star Mark Wahlberg acquiring and fixing up Optimus Prime before kicking into Michael Bay gear and showing some of the action you can expect. It includes some of the shots seen in the Super Bowl spot, but plenty of new stuff as well.

On Sunday night, we got to see the Super Bowl spot for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Age of Extinction, the fourth installment in the Transformers film franchise based on the original Hasbro toy line.

Now, the first official merchandise for film has been released, and it’s the Transformers Optimus Prime First Edition Figure, which is available exclusively through Amazon right now before the broader toy line becomes available in May 2014.

It’s no secret that the best part about Michael Bay’s Transformers movies is the actual transforming by the robots in disguise. Some might argue that it’s the only good thing about these movies (and I’d probably be one of those people).

Now, YouTube user Tunglebrek has compiled a 10-minute that shows every transformation scene from all three Transformers movies.

Transformers: Age of Extinction stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer and Sophia Miles, and is scheduled for a June 27, 2014 release.

I am a child of the 80s, so of course there is a special place in my heart for both G.I. Joe and Transformers, and I love both of the comic series that IDW Publishing is currently releasing, so I am doubly excited to hear that the publisher is going to be releasing a new ongoing series teaming up the two properties.

What has me even more excited is that the series is going to be co-written and drawn by Tom Scioli (Godland). Scioli will be joined by Transformers veteran writer John Barber on writing duties, with the series set to release in the summer of 2014.
