Deadline Hollywood is reporting that director Michael Bay has decided that will not be bringing starlet Megan Fox back for Transformers 3 when it’s released on July 1, 2011. Fox has been the female lead in the first two movies, but some angry fire has been growing between her and Bay, and this seems to be one definitive finger-of-choice from the director.
Since appearing in 2007’s Transformers, hand-selected by director Michael Bay himself, Megan Fox has gone on to super stardom and the adoration of many a young gentlemen.
After all the fame and success came, the actress famously had some negative things to say about Bay and how his movies only focus on special effects and not at all on acting, and how Transformers was “for geniuses” and impossible to understand. The director came back at by saying that Fox “had a lot of growing up to do” and that many stars became stars because of roles that he gave them.
Then, while working on her horror movie Jennifer’s Body. She was quoted as saying Bay wanted to “create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for.” Bay, to his credit, didn’t go too crazy on her like we might have imagined — not that we’re aware of anyway — and when Transformers 3 was announced, the director released the statement below, welcoming her back to his cast once again…but with fair warning of the side effects.
P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.
Bay’s production crew, however, were not quite so nice; they wrote a long letter completely tearing the actress apart, which you can read by clicking the Deadline link above. The back-and-forth continued through this “off-time” Bay had planned before even returning to his world of giant robot-aliens, but now that the movie is actually happening, it looks like it was decided that Fox was just not worth the trouble anymore.
It seems as though the plan will be to cast a new female lead and love interest for star Shia LaBeouf, and either figure out an explanation to the disappearance of Fox’s Mikaela character, or just not mention her at all.
LaBeouf recently talked about the failings of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and how the third movie would be better. Does the removal of Megan Fox support these claims, or did you want her back? Who’s the perfect anti-Fox they’ll no-doubt be searching for?
thank you Bay, Fox isn’t much of a star, just eye candy and she hasn’t learned that yet. Notice she went back to Brian Austin Green after realizing she’s isn’t as big as she thought she was. Enjoy the C-List life Fox

I agree that she is eye candy and not much of an actor. But at the same time I cant stand Shia LaBeouf either. They should just kill them both off and start over.

Say what you like about Megan Fox’s acting ability, she was still more enjoyable than the awful attempt at robot characterisation and the excruciatingly bad plot of the second movie.

This is fantastic news. More so than the allegedly racist robot or the humping RC car, Megan Fox has been the Jar Jar Binks of the Transformers movies. Removing her is a definite step in the right direction.
